You'd rather draft a FS to play CB in the top 5? If we're going that route give me Conner Williams and move him to OG for a couple seasons.

Hell no. I'd take Sutton over any of the OTs in this draft class and I don't even like Sutton. As others have pointed out, we're much better off drafting Nelson to play guard and finding a LT later on in a draft class that has LTs. Or as Phoenix pointed out, we can shift Trenton Brown to LT where he may be better suited and then find another RT.

No, I'm not a fan of paying Trumaine Johnson franchise tag value money on a multi-year contract, nor market value for Butler, Breeland, Fuller, etc. They're not worth it.
I'm still watching tape on him. He's definitely talented but obviously there are a lot of other holes to fill on this team.
If he could have an Earl Thomas like impact on the D, that would be huge (big "if though)
From the games you've seen, what do you all like/not like about him?

My point was people want to draft fitz to play outside when he's better at S.

Also I'd love Nelson he's a man child BUT Conner Williams is a stud LT and up until this season (had injuries) was an elite tackle prospect in both the running game an pass blocking (started as a freshmen). He would have no issue playing OG...it would be similar to what Miami did with tunsil his rookie yr then moving out to tackle in a yr or so.

OH and Calvin Ridley >>> Sutton

Oh, that's fair....every FA is gonna get over paid so that's something we got to be okay with end of the day.

I think we need a vet CB cause we're young as hell everywhere else. Maybe it's not one of the top guys but we gotta build up that secondary. FA and a draft pick works for me, not a 1st rd pick though.

He was never an elite LT prospect. He doesn't have great athleticism. He plays with nastiness and is a very good run blocker, but his feet aren't anything special. Cam Robinson started as a freshman at Alabama and he wasn't anything special either. Tunsil was a far better prospect and athlete than Williams (minus the marijuana incident). The guy moved like a linebacker during drills at the combine.

I'd pick Kirk, Ridley, or Sutton over Williams and any other OT in this class (probably in that order).

welp I'm gonna disagree with you that he wasn't looked at as an elite LT prior to his injury and he not athletic for a 6-6 320 man. All I've read and seen is he's a very good athlete with top end feet, I have no idea what you're seeing and reading...but we will agree to disagree on that.

"Williams is an easy player to evaluate on tape. Great players make the difficult tasks look effortless on the football field. That's him. He's a better player than any of the offensive tackles in the 2017 draft class. He reminds me a lot of Joe Staley coming out of college. Both guys are natural athletes and play with a physical edge"

Off-topic, but Williams starts at 4:49 in the video below. Questionable length and good but not elite athleticism isn't great for a LT. I disagree with Voch Lombardi who said that McGlinchey has better feet than Williams, but Williams isn't an elite athlete like Tunsil/Stanley. McGlinchey may be a better prospect in pass protection due to his length, not athleticism or technique. There's been discussion about whether Williams is better suited for guard (like Zach Martin) or RT, he doesn't appear to have the ballerina feet that guys like Tunsil/Stanley had 2 years ago, and his nfldraftscout profile has him projected to run ~5.3 in the 40. None of the LTs in this class are really elite prospects in my opinion - McGlinchey has been getting burnt by edge rushers, but he's probably the next best prospect after Williams.

Connor William's pass sets in Voch's video are so clunky. Kinda gross.

I like voch respect his evaluation no doubt...I never said he was better than tunsil. I said we can use him in a similar fashion as Miami has. Throw him in at OG then push him out to tackle when joe leaves. Whether that's at right tackle or left tackle, that will be up to the coaching staff (maybe brown pushes over to LT being he's a better pass blocker). I also think he's more than athletic enough to run kyles system.

Length will be a question and the combine will help with a lot of the ?

This was his first game back from his injury this yr thought he played well overall.

I gotta admit I wasn't sure Ramsey's best fit was at corner in the NFL. Not that I thought he'd be a complete bust or anything but I figured he was an all pro type FS guaranteed. Seems like he's an all pro corner as well.

I don't want to make the same assumption with Minkah but I can't help but think his turn to corner wouldn't be as smooth.
