Jake Wieneke-WR-South Dakota State

If you haven't watched Wieneke play, you really ought to. He made a couple nice catches today in helping South Dakota give North Dakota State their first loss this season and has had an outstanding career at SDSU.

He and TE Dallas Goedert are pretty much their entire offense, both similar in terms of being former basketball players who excel at high pointing the ball and present big targets in the red zone. I would be happy with one or both of them on the 49ers roster. Wieneke is a tall, big receiver(6'4", 215), physical and a talented route runner and has been exceedingly productive throughout his career. He's regarded as a team leader, great character guy, on and off the field.

I read about this kid earlier in the year, mocks have him going 2nd-3rd round, what do you think he will run ?
any relation to former ninrs qb chris wienke?
We need Jimmy to feel right at home with this guy in the team.
I like him, but Dallas is a much better prospect

4.55 to 4.65, similar to Cooper Kupp in terms of speed. Wieneke is a little bigger, not as good of a route runner, better leaper.
Looks like he plays the game right. Real gym rat, lunch pail to work type of gentleman.

Texada goes anywhere from 5'9" to 5'11" depending on who you believe. Wieneke is 6'3" to 6'4". So like Nate Robinson guarding Dwayne Wade.

Maybe he'll be an injury replacement for the Senior Bowl, on the team we're coaching!
Dude almost beat a ranked TCU team single handedly. What's not to like. I'm betting he's a real student of the game, sneaky fast, coaches son and has a non stop motor
