Iowa CB Josh Jackson (6-1, 190) declared for the draft and should be all over the #49ers' radar. Reeled in eight interceptions for 168 yards and two touchdowns in 2017.pic.twitter.com/xgzjpjgg0J

Wouldn't be mad if he was the pick end of the day

I think Jackson would be a great fit here, seems to fit the prototype mold for our defense and has the production to match. I would love either Jackson or Nelson at 9/10.

It has been a long time since we have had a stud cornerback.

solid CB. would not mind...i think we will be starring at some nice options with our pick. could be nelson, Smith, Evans, Fitzpatrick, & Jackson. I would not mind any of those cats. all ballers.

I think he might be my favorite prospect for our pick. There's a couple pass rushers right there too, but I think we can find a situational rusher in the 2nd-3rd, if it's not addressed in FA.
It's been so long since we had a high-level CB on the team.

But buuuuttt wouldn't you guys rather have a Kyle Fuller in FA? Lol
Maybe I'm just afraid he'd be more Gilbert than Lattimore.

Other than when Fuller plays the 49ers what has he done?

I rather have Jaire Alexander in a later round and grab Nelson and Smith here. But i wouldn't be mad at this at all. The kid has skills.

Alexander's my boy and by far my favorite player in the draft. But as far as scheme fit Jackson is better suited. He played cover 3 in college and has the desirable size for it. But if we did your plan I would be f**king happy

SAME. I know he doesn't fit the scheme per se but he's the best cover corner in the draft. He's got Lattimore-esque man coverage ability. But yeah it's likely not to happen but a man can dream haha

I think he will be a good pick at our spot. It's been a little while since we had a great corner. The closets ones were probably carlos rogers and walt harris.

Yes and they were just excellent fits. Jackson is more talented IMO. He appeares to also be a nice scheme fit, so the marriage looks nice.
I see Jackson as a Peters-like playmaker if he has a pass rush in front of him. He has excellent ball skills.
