But say if we truly need an ER theres not another DB we can target? Usually better to take a pass rusher earlier before your CB.
If we get the 10th pick, and none of our other targets are there i wouldnt mind a mini trade down to get an extra 3rd and taking him assuming we dont sign a CB in FA.
Then we use a 3rd to package with the Saints pick to move up for a pass rusher.
Typically I'd agree with you Smoke, but personally I'm not sold on Harold or Key....yet. Senior Bowl will determine Harold. Key at 9 or 10 I pass. Jackson will be an elite CB in the league imo, especially in our scheme. The opposite is also true in that solid coverage makes the pass rush better, coverage sacks. Jackson definitely will provide that along with giving the ball back to Jimmy G with his ball hawking skills
Hmmm. Well if we sign a veteran CB we can kiss Jax goodbye

Jackson is a stud. By draft time I think it might be a stretch he'll be there at 9 or 10 but he's one of my early favorites for our 1st

Wow, this kid is very athletic and has an amazing feel for the ball. If Nelson is off the boards, I think the Niners take a very close look at JJ. Jackson and Spoon would be a great CB combo!

First year starting I believe but considering we won't be picking top 5 and after seeing the play by Lattimore I wouldn't worry about the one year starter thing. Though I would like to see his combine results just to see if it lines up with the suff on the field.

why not go this route instead of paying big $$$ for a FA CB (who historically rarely work out anyways) - more safe to spend $$ on a proven o-lineman/edge rush

Okay.... his freshman yr he was a WR, then last season he was a backup DB, then started this yr.

The more i look at things the more i come to believe JJ or Nelson will be the pick. I'd be fine with both.
