AJ Brown- WR Ole Miss

What a beast. I wanted this WR so bad. He was my #2 favorite receiver after N'Keal Harry.

I can't believe how good he is. He's just outstanding.
total stud...was my #1 WR

I can't be too upset because Deebo is a stud as well.
He was targeted twice yesterday.... Compare his game, at home, to deebos on the road. AJ is good but deebo is better

The statistics say AJ Brown is better. Plus he looks like Anquon Boldin to me (AJ Brown). Although they both actually get compared to Boldin. Brown seems to have outstanding hands and the knack for spectacular catches. Deebo can be really great at times. And he can be "Dropo" too instead of Deebo. He has the knack for lapses in concentration and frustrating drops and trying to look cool with his unzipped gloves. Which does seem to be fixed lately. They must have told him to put his gloves on the right way.

I felt like Brown was much closer to a faster Boldin than Samuel. Don't get me wrong, I like Samuel a lot though. Both are good players. Still early but I can't lie it would hurt to watch Brown become a superstar if Samuel doesn't do the same.
Wow, dis guy is as good as advertised. Wish we got him. No offense to Deebo, but we already had "short and fast" on our team, needed a big fast body-and he is it. But, alas, win win I guess

Brown was my dude BUT how does an 1" difference (and like 10Lbs) make someone short and another guy "big" They ran the same 40 as well.

There's a reason AJ and Deebo were the main dudes we looked at through the draft process. They're very similar players.

I think the same. I like both. And Deebo has been pretty good for us. But man AJ Brown looks like something. He just seems to have spectacular hands and concentration. His production is huge. He kind of is another Anquon Boldin. Except faster. If he is anything close to that good I think he can be an amazing player. Deebo is real good and has a giant upside beyond what he has shown us. It's just when I see AJ Brown I say wow he is a superstar. He might be the next Boldin. If he is that good he is going to be great and well worth the pick for them.
I loved AJ Brown, but the comparison drawn between Boldin and Deebo is mainly due to the ferocity with which they play. They want to physically beat your ass on the field.

AJ Brown doesn't have that in him.

I have seen a few of AJ's games and most of his highlights I know they ran the same time in the 40 but in my opinion AJ looks faster in pads.
I'm not complaining I'm happy with Deebo just an observation.
I don't see the Boldin comp either at all. I see DeAndre Hopkins . You can see it in his college tape too. Give him the ball and he'll get you YAC with either finesse or breaking tackles like Hopkins. Hopkins is my favorite reason which is probably why I wanted this guy so bad

That's fair. Both are very fast with pads on. The whole AJ is a big WR, but Deebo isn't is a silly take IMO. Both are gonna have bright futures.
The interesting thing is that I think with both the Samuel and Pettis picks, this regime has proven they can draft talent at receiver. Taylor was a solid pick as well. The only problem is that Pettis doesn't seem to want it. If Pettis had taken that next step like we thought, there would be no WR envy. I think the silver lining in all of this is that we got Emmanuel Sanders and if Pettis has a halfway decent year, we don't make that trade. On the off chance that he does bounce back, Sanders, Samuel, and Pettis would be a nice top 3. I'm not optimistic however.

I do wish Samuel was worked into the game plan even more and we would likely see more, but yeah, AJ Brown is really, really good.
