draft season just started so im sure they're getting all the prospects written up soon. Especially since it's not even combine time yet.

Urlacher was a college safety who moved to linebacker in the NFL. He was heavily praised for his outstanding natural football instincts, a guy who was seemingly always around the football. That continued in the NFL.


Not sure whats up with Lance Zierlein this year but his player comparisons are all over the place and most of the evaluations Ive seen are largely over the top negative. If you go by those, only 10 guys or so are actually going in the 1st round.

I've noticed the same thing. To be fair though Edmunds seems like a hard player to do a comparison on. Can't remember an offball LB with those measurables. He's built more like a Leo but excels playing off the ball. And at 19 you would expect his football IQ to be lower than most. I'm definitely intrigued

Fair enough I'm actually surprised at how many write ups they actually have this early. Might not be the best write ups but it's something to read for all of us draft junkies

its just one game but this video really turned me off. i was intrigued by him but he makes too many bonehead plays to be a first round pick. You can tell he is a 19 year old kid. I really hate that his athleticism alone is giving him first round projections cause he is such a young player and so raw. Falls for a lot of the read option plays, over pursues at times and doesn't hustle if the play is away from him.

I like the guys potential but roquan would be a much better selection.

Even with the age, its not like his peers are that much older. Roquan is 20 and has substantially better instincts and awareness, as does Rashaan Evans who is 21.


Edmunds isn't going to spontaneously develop high level football IQ in 1 to 2 years.



I just get wary when people talk up a guy's height/weight/speed more than anything else. That is usually how busts happen.


Bigger/faster/stronger plays bigtime in college, in the NFL where most players are great athletes, the guys that thrive do so largely because of what they have between the ears.

This is it right here. Just like GMs are counting on Josh allen becoming more accurate and a better decision maker.

There are certain things that don't just happen at the next level. Instincts and awareness are not things that typically just get better over time. You have them or you don't. And that's why Roquan is great. His ability to read and react is ELITE and something that just can't be taught.

The Hype machine seems in full gear for Edmunds.

IMO, we can do a lot better at 9/10

I like this kid a lot...great size & mobility. Defense at VA Tech has always been a priority and Edmunds is a prime example. I'd rather Lynch draft this kid over Landry, for sure.

In a trade down sure not in the top 10
