3rd or 4th imo
Surgery to repair the hip tomorrow.

His ankle had nothing to do with this.
How did it not? His ankle affected his agility and speed, and thereby made him more prone to taking hits. A healthy Tua might not even go down on that play, he might've rolled out, outran the defenders, and picked up a 2-3 yard gain.

He was looking to throw. Perhaps he tucks it runs on a healthy ankle but that's speculative.

In all due respect, I've had to disregard your takes ( on this particular matter ) when you called Saban " Sabs "
I remember seeing the Bo Jackson injury and how Tua was tackled was totally different but it sounds like the same result, unfortunately. I really hope he can recover enough to have a productive career. I'm sure Kyle can figure out an offense for him.

Besides that sports medicine has advanced a lot since the 80's.

Sports medicine hasn't advanced to the point of avoiding AVN. If the damage to the surrounding tissue is significant enough and major scarring takes place... the bone around the hip can die.

On top of this, he'll always have arthritis to some degree in that hip... Fact that he's playing football... I guarantee this will be an issue.
Bo Jackson also waited too long have surgery.

He did. But AVN is a risk regardless. Albeit, less so with quick intervention. No matter, this aspect of the injury will be resolved before the draft.
The best QB in the draft officially declared. Expected and smart move. Don't even @ me with Burrow is better
Smart move but I think this whole qb class is extremely suspect

Burrow is better.

Drafting QBs is always a guessing game. Mahomes, Watson, and Jackson are good examples of that.
