I'm already irrate looking at our upcoming schedule with the last game of the season being against the Rams who will clearly be resting their starters. Once again we will win a totally meaningless game to once again miss out on a blue chip edge rusher. But Jed and 49ers social media will be celebrating like they won the f**king Super Bowl. Words can't describe how dark that day will be as the 3rd time in 3 years an extra win against the Rams to finish the season totally f**ked us.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing... But I can see us battling with Arizona for that first pick. In that case, I am hoping Rams clinch home field with TWO games left on their schedule. Because they play Arizona the second to last week of the season, and maybe they will rest their complete starters that game, and play some of the starters a little for the game against us so they don't get too rusty.... at least I am hoping...

I think there's a real chance we get him if we're in the top 3

What gives you reason to predict that?

Their father John Bosa first round DE with lots of promise. Had a hold out like Joey. Career cut short due to injuries. Only 3 years. 31 games.

Joey and Nicks Grandather, Palmer Pyle. First round o line. Career cut short due to injuries. 61 games in 6 seasons.

Joeys Uncle (his mother's brother) Eric Kumerow. Was a LB from Ohio state. First round pick for the dolphins. Didn't even make it to the combine due to an injury. Lasted 3 seasons like John Bosa and was out due to injuries.

Kumerows son was trying to make it on the packers as a wr recently but injury kept slowing his pogression till he was done.

And we see what's going on with Joey. Nick is already experiencing nagging injuries which is a huge red flag.

The only long term player I could find from that family was Palmer Pyle's brother Mike Pyle that played center for 9 seasons.

Haha do what is needed to make it happen!
I don't know if Bosa is the best since there are lots of edge rushers this year. One problem I have with Ohio State linemen is that they usually have such dominant defenses that individuals can often appear better than they really are. They always seem to have great backs which gives the D line more time to sack. How much better would our D look if we had great corners and any kind of edge rush. Not saying Bosa isn't good but I always look for dominant guys that play for average teams like Mack with Buffalo or Aldon Smith with an average Missouri team. Some of the greatest pass rushers in history have come from average teams.

You can see his technique, hand usage, and athletic ability and determine his a damn good pass rusher...doesn't matter who's he's lined up next to on the DL when he's beating the snot out of tackles.
I agree that Bosa looks great. All the moves and technique always look better when you are surrounded by talent. If you look back there have been a lot of Ohio State linemen and LB's that were very average or busts in the NFL. If we draft Bosa I sure hope he doesn't end up like so may of them. I would be a little concerned about the surgery he had since our recent history of drafting guys with previous injuries is really poor.

i didn't think so, but we have a real shot at Bosa and I have no doubt in my mind that if he is there when we pick we're running the card to the podium. I am concerned about injuries though, but we'll see.
