Yeah, nice breakdown. I mostly agree. So, generally with the #1 pick, you think "QB". Failing that, pass rusher is generally the most obvious second choice (barring transcendental prospects at other positions, e.g. Calvin Johnson, Saquon Barkley, etc).

Here's how I look at it:

Cardinals: took Rosen this year, so no chance they go QB. However, I disagree with your assessment on ARI because to take an OL/WR, the player would have to be the same caliber of Bosa (e.g. "all things equal.... we need offensive help more, we'll go OL/WR"). To pick OL/WR over Bosa would be picking need over BPA, and I can't see them passing up Bosa to do that. I don't follow college prospects closely, but I don't know of any OL/WR in the same tier as Bosa this year.
Likelihood of drafting Bosa if given the chance: Very high

Giants: 100% agree with your assessment. The Giants need a QB. This is a lock.
Likelihood of drafting Bosa if given the chance: Remote

Raiders: a small part of me thinks they could trade Carr; Carr has been very mediocre the last year and a half, and his contract (limited dead money beyond this year) is very tradeable. They traded Mack, so why couldn't they trade Carr? Maybe Gruden wants to get "his" guy. So, it's very unlikely, but I could see them maybe going QB in that scenario. Failing that... well, like I mentioned, they just lost Khalil Mack. How's this for a redemption story: "The Oakland Raiders overcome the loss of Premier Pass Rusher Khalil Mack by adding Premier Pass Rusher Joey Bosa".
Likelihood of drafting Bosa if given the chance: A virtual guarantee

Browns: odds be damned, the Browns are too talented to finish worse than the 49ers last year. They're a very respectable team this year. They'd likely take Bosa, but they won't have the chance.

Bills: took Allen this year, so no chance they draft a QB. I basically feel exactly the same about them as I do Arizona.
Likelihood of drafting Bosa if given the chance: Very high

So yeah, I guess I'm probably haggling over minor differences, but I generally agree with you. Unless we finished with 1 or 2 wins, we're probably not getting Bosa.

This is exactly how I feel. The Raiders and Cardinals will take a great pass rusher and we will be screwed so I'm hoping the Raiders can win one more game than us because after all they have their f**king starters what's their excuse? So we are going to get screwed again but it looks like we will get the second best pass rusher

We probably wind up with a top five pick probably going 4-12 Let's just say the fifth pick to be safe. I hope maybe we consider trading up To get Bosa but that's a pipe dream big time with our front office

Its pointless because every draft pick is now slotted a salary. It isn't like before where guys could hold out in an attempt to get more money.

Well there still is some negotiating like offset language or penalties like Roquan Smith.

Fun fact, Joey held out just like his dad. So I wouldn't expect Nick to be a simple easy signing.

That was my point. If you know who you're going to take and there aren't any offers (other than ridiculous ones) that you'd consider, it's better to make sure there's no Crabtree / J.Bosa garbage to deal with. Get him in on day one.
Raiders going to get Bosa ...Damn tanking going to ruin us from getting this stud

Let's see what happens next few weeks. We lost to Arizona at home despite whopping their ass yards/possession wise. We may find ways to lose despite being the better roster.

But yeah I think we end up 5-10 range but consolation prize of Ferrell, Sweat or Burns would be ok.
If Oakland offered up their 3 1's.......

We missed on Myles Garrett, can't miss on this one... but 3x 1st round picks would be interesting. Depends on where the first pick of the three would be. Top 5, then maybe.

Bosa, Ferrell, Sweat, Polite, Burns

The only way we screw this up is if we don't take an ER.
Oh they could still screw it up by taking an edge rusher. Not all great college players translate to great pros. They have to pick the right guy.
Getting a bit paranoid about Bosa and injuries. So Ferrell or Sweat, maybe?

All i know is I can't wait to dig into the tape end of season to figure out which guy is my oneitis for this draft season. If we're picking #1 overall I find it hard to believe anyone can beat out Bosa. That guy is a rare combo of size, solid athletic ability and technique...

Injury concerns are troubling but you take that risk. Anyone can get hurt and that's what sucks about this sport but it's a part of it. Can't avoid taking the better player because you're worried about him getting hurt. Frank Gore did ok for us.

Totally agree, I was more so basing my answer off me thinking that we will possibly win 2-4 more games and won't be in the hunt for Bosa. Now iF we had #1 overall, yep you run to the podium for Bosa.

Dont agree, guys. this is not a case of being worried about him getting injured. This is a history of injury which has a good chance of continuing.

Hypothetically, what would you do if we ended picking #1 and Herbert decided to stay in Oregon?
