I'd cream my pants if drafted Bosa.

Fowler a little overhyped around here. The need for pass rush has got fans wearing some serious beer goggles. He's not that good.
IMO, Fowler is better than any edge on the team, and by a good margin. He's not the answer by himself, but he's a good player you can win with as a starting LEO, especially if we get a stud (or 2) in the draft to play on the opposite edge.
edit: Bosa, Buckner, Armstead/Thomas/Day, Fowler would be a hell of a group

After suggesting the possibility of trading back a couple of days ago I can see from the responses that the consensus is to stay put and draft Bosa. That's probably right considering there isn't the true franchise QB that teams would be willing to give up multiple picks for. My original thought was trading back no further than 5th overall and picking up a high 2nd and maybe a 5th or 6th since we need so many players. Given the look of this years draft I doubt any team would be willing to give up that to move up 2 or 3 spots.

If we are #1 overall I'm fine with either taking Bosa or trading a spot or two down.

So is bosa still the consensus #1 pick like Myles Garrett was? Or has the injury pulled someone else in front? I haven't watched too much college ball this year I'm curious who the elite prospects are.

If we don't beat Tampa, we aren't winning another game. We'll get Bosa at #1 if we want.

Basically you have 4 key cogs to a football team: QB, LT, Edge, CB Our CB and LT aren't spring chickens, but they are very good. We have the franchise QB. We are simply a true pass rusher away from having the 4 key pieces to build around. And the edge available is elite. You have to take him.

Yes there are other pieces we need for sure. But start with the 4 most important and build from there.

Bosa at 1 then another proven pass rusher via free agency

Isn't this all for nothing because if the we and the Raiders lose out the raiders get first overall right? Us having the first pick right now is just a technicality.

If we finish tied with the Raiders, SOS will determine who wins the pick, not head to head. I think that's what your referring to, right?

Virtually any edge rusher that makes it to free agency and has started in this league will be better than what we have. That is not saying much. He needs to be better relative to the OL and RBs he is going up against. In that context it's a bunch of meh.
