No offense but if you admit to actually watching his tape and still saying the comment above then I'm going to put you in the don't take serious category.

It's one thing to have concerns as far as his injuries go but to say he's an every other year type prospect is crazy.

And even if your point was that he wasn't the elite athletic/size combo of Garrett that doesn't change the fact that guys of Bosa's caliber aren't readily available. So unless you're planning on us having a top 2 pick for the next few years Bosa is easily the best edge guy in this class.

It's like I personally offended you or something because people have a different opinion that INCLUDES calling him this year's best edge prospect.

Webzone is a weird place. If you don't match somebody's overwhelmingly positive opinion on a prospect you're hating. No nuance. Just love or hate.

Nick Bosa is this year's best edge rusher. However the drop off from him to the next tier is not considerable. Several top 5 worthy pass rush prospects this year.

Nothing on these boards offends me. I was legit curious because I don't understand how someone can watch Bosa and think he's a prospect you can find every other year.

It's one thing if you think the difference between him and other guys isn't that drastic but making him out to be nothing special is bizarre to me.

Dude. I said he was the best pass rush prospect in this draft. How could you possibly infer that he is "nothing special". Anybody at the top of their draft is inherently special. What words should we specifically use to make you more comfortable?

You are right. I whiffed on that except I do remember many people wondering who he was when he was picked. Missouri is not that high of profile so we didn't get to see a lot of their games. I'm not saying Bosa isn't good. I just don't see that big of a difference. A lot of guys here are talking like it's a difference between 15 or 20 sacks with Bosa and 6 or 7 with any of the other guys. I think a realistic guess on Bosa would be 12 which is fine. I'm guessing he won't be better than his brother and maybe not as good. I'm guessing many of the other guys could get around 7 or 8 and maybe more. That would be fine. If we get the first pick we likely take Bosa. If not we grab one of the other guys. You never know, Bosa may slide back if there are any concerns over his health or if one of the other guys jumps off the charts at the combine. It happens all the time so we may get him even if we don't get the first pick.

What are you guessing on? The proof is in the pudding (film). We can always say some guys drafted later might be better, but if we're talking about evaluating players before the draft Bosa is the top dog among edge rushers in this draft (if healthy) ...you're gonna be hard pressed to find someone that watches college ball that would disagree.

idk, im thinking cowboys would of extended lawrence by now. I think they will be planning to draft a replacement for him since they have to pay Amari Cooper, Dak Prescott, and Elliott either this offseason or the next. Given all the money they have spent on the O-line already, they dont seem to have much space yet. Plus i think its a 100% chance they shell out a big contract to earl thomas this offseason too. Demarcus Lawrence has a big chance of hitting the open market IMO

There's reports of tagging him again. He's not walking no way no how.

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. But to me a comment like "A Nick Bosa is available every other year" screams nothIng special.

He's a very talented and rare pass rush prospect and we'd be lucky to be in position to draft him.

I've seen the second tier DEs projected in the top-10, but I've also seen those same guys projected outside the top-20. It's hard to argue any of them are blue chip guys like Bosa.

Lack of concensus doesn't mean there's a steep drop in talent. Just means there's a lot of exceptional, ahem "special", talent at the position. Their specific draft position will shake out during bowl season and the subsequent offseason evaluation.
There is a need for a big bodied receiver, edge rusher, another linebacker and a corner and possibly another safety (rover). Bosa I haven't seen enough of because he seems to be hurt very often. A good large receiver would go a very long way in solidifying our receiving corps (teamed with Kittle and Goodwin who do you double?). Our defense has to be strengthened. I did not like that game on Monday night. TWO teams scoring 50+ points agains each other is not exciting to me. 55 - 10? THAT'S EXCITING!!!
Who are these other top 5 pick pass rushers?

A 220 lb. Brian Burns?
A linear athlete in Montez Sweat who was completely dominated by Dalton Risner?
A sub package pass rusher in Jachai Polite?
An on-ball LB Josh Allen?

I'd be ecstatic with any of them, but let's not pretend that there is any pass rusher in this class as well rounded as Nick Bosa. Less box score watching is needed from some as well.

we better friggin tank den. we're in the drivers seat.

Unlike that one year with Kap ....we had the overall and this gonzo lookin ass wins one of the last games , then leaves in the offseason , just so we could get Garett.

This will always haunt me. That and the Browns not being able to beat Pittsburgh second stringers. Do you know how much further along we would be with him instead of Solomon Thomas. Dammit!!

Not only were they not able to beat them but they had 1st and goal at like the 5 yard line in OT and LOST yards next few plays settling for a FG...then allowed the Steeler backups to march down the field for the winning TD.

That's like the ultimate tank.

Yeah, we might be able to secure a 2nd or 3rd tier ER for the strong side nickel in FA (like Elvis) but I highly doubt a premier ER hits FA let alone Lynch securing him.

I'm not even sure Saleh wants a true every down LEO.

Bosa has to be the guy unless Saleh is still looking at Thomas for 70% of the time and a rookie ER for nickel at LEO.

Or what happens when Hue Jackson is your coach.
Lawrence can hit the market he won't be here. Edge rushers make bank and no way we win the bidding war nor do we have to with this draft class.

How many big receivers in that MNF football game?? We NEED a edge rusher above all. Bosa is the best one in this class

And this draft has how many big receivers worth even a top 20 pick.
