Looks like Bosa is as good as ours. Lets knock this draft out of the park and go all in on free agents.

All we can hope for otherwise we are right back in this damn forum this time of year again next season!
Wonder how everyone will feel if Lynch passes on Bosa, as he pulls a Baalke-like "I'm the smartest guy in the room"

Depends on who he passes on him for. If it's Jonah Williams, I can understand it because he's one of the cleanest tackle prospects to come out in recent memory and fits this offense perfectly. The kid is an absolute stud at LT and we would have the best tackle combo in the league within a season or two. Plus Joe Staley is on the brink of retirement and you don't pay Jimmy the money they just paid him to have some bum watching his blindside. If Joe returns for one more season, Williams can play inside for a year.

Any other player would definitely raise questions about Lynch though. He would also still have to address the edge either through free agency or by being aggressive through the draft by moving back into the first to select the best edge rusher available.

I would hope if he passes on Bosa it will be because we are getting a boat load of extra picks, since we have so many needs and there are a lot of good edge rushers this draft. With only 5 picks in the draft this year, I can definitely see Lynch moving down to obtain more picks, even though so many of us want Bosa.

I'd be fine with Sweat if they can trade the top pick for a lot of draft capital.
What worries me most about Bosa is that so many people think he can't miss and will be great every year. It's like talking about a no hitter in the 8th inning. They said the same about Goldson or Goldshon when he came out of OSU. Total bust. Nobody is a sure thing.

They said Myles Garrett was a cant miss prospect also. It's never a perfect science but I'd be willing to bet the over on players called can't misses being hits rather than busts.

How many big receivers in that MNF football game?? We NEED a edge rusher above all. Bosa is the best one in this class

I agree about the ER. But if Bosa is getting nicked up in college like this, what do you think is going to happen when he hits the Show? Find someone who stays on the field. Even though Foster is gone, would he have been able to stay on the field? We don't need anymore fragile defensive players or offensive players for that matter. Guys are gonna have to take a lickin' and keep on tickin'. Doesn't matter whether there were no big bodied receivers on MNF or not. We need them as well as some speed guys who may not have the size. Gotta keep defenses thinking.

Guess we shouldn't have drafted Myles if available either? He was banged up all yr his final season in Texas We should go after Clowney if available in FA because he's banged up every once in a while right? Players get hurt its gonna happen in football.

I'm fine with getting a big bodied WR, thing is we can get both.

Vikings have the best receiving duo in football and it's a 5th rounder and an undrafted white guy. We just need to find a good system possession guy to pair with Goodwin/ Pettis.

speaking of white guys...I like Sills out of WV.

I was with you until you said that. I'm not mad just disappointed. In my book of importance Receivers rank around the same as punters but below kickers. But they sure are important in Madden.

Really? I see some draft guys saying he might be best inside because of lack of length...IMO they don't have to spend two top 10 picks on OTs you gotta be able to develop someone at some pt. Would be a very uninspiring pick after the s**t season we've had. Also got to look at cap space down the road. Edge rushers are making bank. I also don't see SF forking over top end money for both tackles. just a guess.

It's gotta be edge, the draft is perfect for it. IF you can't get Bosa move down and still grab a great EDGE prospect. I'd rather go to FA for a tackle then a edge rusher if I had to pick between the two.

I agree, it's one of the most dependent positions in football, need good QBing and good play-calling. I'm not saying you gotta draft one in the 2nd. There's some guys worth checking out a little later. (Sills comes to mind maybe 3rd) or FA.

I'm all about making Jimmy G's life easier...play-calling check, much improved OL check, running game check, good TE check...A go to WR that he can sling it up to or rely on couldn't hurt.

first we need a EDGE presence. that Will improve everything. I would like to go DB in FA. LBer jumped onto the list but can be attacked in FA (or a mid rd pick for a WILL).

Who said gholston was gonna be great? Bosa has been the better player at OSU and gholston was more raw but he was built like a bodybuilder so it fooled a team like the jets

We talking about Vernon Gholston? Dude was a one trick pony from Day 1. He was drafted almost entirely on the basis of his upside and athleticism. When people talked him up they didn't talk about his arsenal of pass rush moves, they talked about his 40 time and how much he could bench press. Bosa is eons ahead in terms of technical ability.

So who would you rather draft? Bosa may be the most sure thing out of any player projection at any round in the draft. I find so many of your posts so pessimistic. Lighten up man!
If we have the overall first pick next spring and, excluding a drop dead gorgeous trade, DONT draft Bosa I am going into hiding. You guys will have to mod yourselves. The place will meltdown and disintegrate into a pile of radioactive waste.
.. WHY do you think he should be the 1st overall pick??
