Left the team so that he can concentrate for the combine and hope to blow away scouts (including fans here)...

Lets take out the name BOSA from his jersey, is he really worth the 1st overall pick based from the amount of games he played??

Really, have you seen tape of him? The guy is without a doubt the no. 1 overall pick. He's a monster - watch the tape, you'll be convinced.

He's played in 29 games over 3 seasons and been completely elite for two of them. What more do you want?

This doesn't remotely make sense. Nick Bosa was seen as the top player in this draft a year ago.

What stripes does he need to earn? He has all the tools you want from a gamebreaking edge rusher prospect. He easily could have gone the other way with being overshadowed by his famous brother, but dude went and balled out and made himself the favorite to go #1.

Who cares? What exactly did he have to gain by rushing back from his injury? After some of the horrific injuries that guys like Jaylon Smith have gone through in recent years, I'm never going to fault any of these guys for doing what they need to do to look out for their health and future career viability.

Yes. He showed enough in the 29 look games that he did play in that it is clear that he is a lot more advanced than the usual college edge rusher and well worthy of being an early pick.

Not to mention the fact that college doesn't pay these guys. They make millions and these guy who put not only their careers but their bodies on the line get $0. Can potentially lose millions if they get injured.

Joey was injuried and on and off the field his last yr in college...people questioned it and he "dropped" in draft boards all throughout the draft process. At one pt we thought we had a shot at 7.

Why do you care if a kid who has surgery wanted to focus on his career instead of college ball where they get used up and make no money? I'll never question that and I don't get why people do...we're not the ones getting banged up for free.

It wasn't just to concentrate on the combine, it was to actually be 100% once the draft processed started. Someone posted he wasn't gonna be good to go until December, so I don't know what you're complaining about there.

Yes without question he's the best player in this draft, go look at the film. Proof is in the pudding. Feel free to remove his name. Kid is special.

I need some goddamn Bosa.
Funny thing is with all the hype Nick had going into this year he definitely answered with his performance this year before his injury.

Dude was unstoppable pretty much. Don't blame him at all for healing up and looking to his future. Pretty sure if he rushed the recovery it wouldn't give him a lot of games anyways and the reward is tiny compared to the risk.

Anyone with logic and common sense can see the decision was the right one. NFL teams will not think poorly on that.

watch the film dude is sound and has a ton of tools 🛠 in the shed.
I'm not convinced he'd be great in this scheme and with our current personnel. If Solly teaches you anything it's how you use a player matters. The leo wide 9 rushes constantly. We have our big ends, we need a leo. A player like Ingram is what we need.

I don't think Bosa would be a bad fit, you can make the adjustments but a different player like Polite may be a better for us.

Why can't we have both? I think its possible.

Even if Polite is a slightly better fit than Bosa, the talent level is miles apart, Bosa has plenty enough juice, and the major difference with Solly (and nearly all other prospects) is that he has multiple ways of winning.

This is a Garrett type no brainer, if he's there just walk up the card.

Food for thought as well, what happens if we do ditch Saleh either this year or next? We might want different qualities for our players. Bosa is so much more scheme diverse than anyone we could pick up.

We'll have to see how they test out but I'm guessing Garrett is more athletic. You can put him in any scheme I'm not so sure you can constant wide 9 rush Bosa to great results. He'll be ok, 10x better than Solly, but he's likely better off being played like his brother and with our personnel that may be hard.

Fair point on the scheme but even if Saleh fails we may end up just replacing him with another guy from that tree. I wouldn't take Polite straight up over him that's insane but that top pick could bring in a mega haul of picks to make up the difference in talent.

The only realistic way its possible is to trade our #1 pick in next years draft plus more. I wouldnt do that. Polite isnt going to last until the 2nd round.
