Rashan Gary, EDGE, Michigan

"2019 NFL Draft: Michigan's Rashan Gary fits modern mold for dominance"

"Standing at 6'5″ and 281 pounds with the versatility to play along both the interior and edge of a defensive line, Gary is a force."

"That combination of size, bulk, and athleticism doesn't come along very often, which is certainly a solid foundation for a player's draft stock."

If he blacks out this season, I don't see why he wouldn't be the #1 pick.

"Michigan's Rashan Gary draws comparison to Saints' Cam Jordan"

"Not only does Gary have rare physical tools, he's got the instincts, intelligence and passion to match. His attention to detail is evident on every snap, and he also gets the benefit of refining his skills under one of the nation's best defensive line coaches in Greg Mattison."

Can't wait to dive into Gary's tape. I don't think he'll be a target for us, but, nonetheless, I'm always excited to study DL(and LBs--my two fav pos ).
"Rashan Gary named second most freakish athlete in college football by NFL.com"

"College football's junior class is loaded with talent on the defensive line, and Gary sits comfortably among the elite players in the group. In program testing his sophomore year, he was clocked at a jaw-dropping 4.57 seconds in the 40-yard dash at 280-plus pounds. He also broad jumped 9-6 and turned in a 6.70 time in the 3-cone drill. As a pass rusher, he overwhelms offensive linemen with first-step quickness and power, and he also has the lateral speed to chase down screen passes and stretch plays to the perimeter. As if he needed to be any more athletic, he got himself trimmed down to 275 pounds in the spring."

275 lbs this year? Let's get that #1 spot this year Gary! 2 more months 😈

Heh, I can see a Mike Ditka level trade here! Man if we can nail down an elite Edge Rusher in the 2019 draft - and we already have Jimmy for 5+ years, wow!

"Michigan Football: Rashan Gary Ranked No. 1 "Freak" In College Football"
https://michigan.rivals.com/news/michigan-football-rashan-gary-ranked-no-1-freak-in-college-football

"Gary topped college football guru Bruce Feldman's annual list of players with outstanding physical abilities. Last year's edition ranked former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley No. 1. The year before that, it was former Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett. This year, it's Gary, the rising junior defensive end who started all 13 games for Michigan last fall."

By Bruce Feldman Jul 13, 2018

If you want the #1, I heard we need an edge? just saying per el guru Mr. Feldman..

"Gary was ranked ahead of a few other Big Ten players, including Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa, Iowa tight end Noah Fant and Wisconsin nose tackle Olive Sagapolu."

Let's stop playing around Mr. Lynch.. I need that 6th ring in a couple of years. An old wise man once said...

Will add this so take it with a grain of salt

Even if those numbers are inflated a little, it's still impressive

"Perhaps the most impressive of those wins was in the 40-yard dash, where Gary registered a time of 4.57 seconds. That was faster than linebacker Noah Furbush (4.63 seconds), quarterback Brandon Peters (4.86 seconds), tight end Zach Gentry (4.70 seconds), and even running back Chris Evans (4.64 seconds)."

"One of Michigan football's most feared defensive linemen, Rashan Gary ran a 4.57 40-yard dash, which is pretty freaking fast for a big boy."

https://www.google.com/amp/s/gbmwolverine.com/2017/03/16/michigan-football-rashan-gary-beats-chris-evans-40-yard-dash/amp/

He beat our running back Chris Evans. He runs with the dbacks.

Somewhere between 4.57-4.64. He is killing practice, hitting the books and teaching the freshman some pointers. He has "it" to be the face of a franchise.

His criticism.

He is down to 275lbs this spring.

Dude is a stud, I'm gonna put an * next to college numbers until the combine happens, but I wouldn't be shocked if he put up those kinds of numbers.

Unless we bomb or trade away multiple high end picks I don't see him being available for SF

Why not, we are only a draft or two away.. Why not speed up the process. We got the bench players. Let's go get our stud. If we go up and get him our defense would instantly change once he puts everything together. We need star power now. Quality picks.

"Just look at recent Super Bowl champions: Philadelphia had All-Pro Fletcher Cox flanked by Timmy Jernigan, Brandon Graham, Chris Long and Derek Barnett, et al. Last year's New England team brought it more by committee, but Long had a huge game in the Super Bowl against Atlanta. The 2015 Broncos had Miller and DeMarcus Ware, the 2014 Pats had Chandler Jones, the 2013 Seahawks had Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril... "

From you're article... There's no excuse for us.
