"That we have to keep playing how we are playing," Gary said. "We can only get better. As a defense, I feel like we have yet to play our best game. That's the fun part about it, about football and throughout the season, you're able to get better and better week by week."

Gary has taken freshman defensive end Aidan Hutchinson under his wing so far this season. He said he enjoyed getting to watch Hutchinson play against Nebraska instead of Gary. Getting Hutchinson experience could prove valuable down the road for the Wolverines.

"It's the bigger picture," Gary said. "Aidan (Hutchinson), getting his feet wet and building that confidence and building himself up. Kwity Paye, you know, him building himself up getting his confidence up. Letting them know that they can play in big moments, and we're going to need them down the line.

One might think Gary would hate to come off the field, but he knows how helpful getting the younger ends experience is.

"So, me sitting back and me not taking those reps, I was actually happy because I got a chance to help Aidan see what he sees in the game, help Kwity see what he sees in the game, just hyping them up, getting hype with them and letting them know that while you're on the field, this is yours," Gary said."

Unselfish much? It's just the beginning for this defense..

Not facts until the combine sorry. Well the faster part. Bigger yeah. But if being big and fast was all it took to be a great edge rusher then we would have a lot more quality edge rushers in the NFL.

He already has been clocked early this season and runs with the db's...Bosa is not faster than Gary.

His workouts are insane.. Research more.

"The boys have run some more 40 yard dashes for Coach Tolbert. Gary clocked a 4.58. Insane speed for a 290 guy. He is simply phenomenal. Chris Evans ran a 4.62. Higdon hit 4.48 and Ty ran 4.75+. I don't have any receiver times yet but will find out and share."

He runs with our db's and out runs our running backs.. His speed is rediculous..Lol

Bosa is not faster than Gary, not on his best day...

Oh like how Jabrill Peppers was clocked in 4.1-4.240s okay sure lemme believe everything a bunch of biast people say. Right okay will do. I'll take a player who has been productive (while being double teamed also) and shows phenomenal technique over a big fast athlete all day anyways so I don't care if he is a freak. He hasn't produced you can say all the double teams you want but what about last year when Hurst was the one getting doubled? Where was he?

Do some research in the Peppers forum I was a big supporter of his. I wasn't calling him a bust I'm saying every school over embellishes numbers for their guys. I'm a Michigan fan but your non stop thinking that every critique on a player is an attack on you is tiresome. Your damn right you have a bias. Your over here boasting up Devin Bush and the CBs Michigan has as top end talent. Try being objective Michigan has talented players absolutely and Gary is their most talented player and I'm really psyched to see the safety they recruited next year (hopefully he plays). Gary is a project who's got a high ceiling and may have the highest ceiling in this class. But those players are no sure thing and come around almost on a yearly basis and many have failed to reach their potential

Lol Actually Rashan Gary pressure on Mcsorly is what created the interception.. It wasn't the best game as a unit but Saquon Barkley was a problem for any team.

He was creating pressure throughout the game. What do you mean he was no where to be found?

I never said Bush was a top ten pick. I specifically said he is a first rounder. He will be drafted in the teens. His closing speed is not matched..
