Let's just stop with that suggestion and get real edge rushers.

This

Wouldn't matter if we get an edge. Saleh would probably just play him out of position

Not a bad idea. We only need 1 wide 9 rusher and looking at 2019 potential FA edge rushers fowler, clowney, ansah, lawrence

Well, ESPN is certainly hyping this guy on their pre show tonight.
Says the only guys he's seen that impressed him this way were Myles Garrett, Suh, and Jadaveon Clowney.

I'll have to start paying more attention. At the rate we are going this year, he could be in play (I always assume the first couple of picks end up being QB's these days. Even if the Overall #1 Pick Team doesn't need a QB, they'll trade it for a small fortune to a Team that does need a QB)

Man you've been missing out. This kid can play. He's a fkn beast.

Add Dee Ford. After all those injuries, dude is lighting it up in KC. Top 5 pass rusher right now. I don't know why he would leave the Chiefs to come here, but...
I am pretty sure that drafting this dude would be my #1 nightmare scenario.

Even if he is Aaron Donald level, the logistics of making this move would probably set the fanbase on fire.

This. I just don't get it. Particular if there is anyone complaining about lack of pass rushing from the edge, yet advocate drafting Oliver. Makes no freaking sense. None. I've never seen a team have so many DTs.
He's going to be one of the best players on the field from day 1 in the NFL. He's a man amongst boys.

I know there's a lot of love for Bosa, and especially with our need at DE, but Oliver is a different kind of animal.

Oliver and Buckner would be a nightmare. Now if only we draft get a speed rusher on the edge.

A nightmare to find snaps for. I haven't seen anyone disagreeing that Oliver is a monster.

But they can't draft Oliver unless they plan to trade Buckner or Thomas. Can't dick Oliver around at BE or Leo. He gets 100% 3t snaps.

Oliver would be a freaking logjam of the same crap we're dealing with now. Amazing player BUT no thanks. I hope he kills it and gets drafted ahead of us to push down a true edge rusher.

Luckily its not a bad year to need a passrusher and we are looking like we are picking high.

If Lynch drafts this dude...
Interesting. I've seen scouting people post about how small he'll measure at the combine. Someone said he's about 5'11" in person. 272 would be really bad.

Area scout: 'No way' Ed Oliver goes No. 1
An area scout told Walter Football's Charlie Campbell that he would "bet a paycheck" that Houston junior DT Ed Oliver will not be drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the spring, saying that there's "no way."

"There are too many potential issues. He's a lot smaller than people think," the scout said. Oliver is listed at 6-foot-3, 293 pounds on Houston's team website, but the evaluator has heard that it's closer to 272 pounds and that the staff views anything over 285 as too heavy a playing weight. Another scout told Campbell that Oliver "is not [Aaron] Donald," explaining that the Houston star "has issues with mass and problems with double teams that Donald does not."

Why even bother speculating about his size? We will get a concrete answer in the offseason.
