As someone who has seen this kid up close and personal since he was in high school, his talent is in a class by itself. He has just toyed with the competition as if he was a man amongst boys (which actually
was the case, from a talent perspective) since he first stepped on a football field. One word of caution: he has suffered some other significant injuries that the mainstream media has failed to mention. I believe this is why he was viewed as such a draft risk by the NFL. From my understanding that has been produced from reading some of his hometown newspaper articles from years back, he missed at least 2 full seasons as a result of broken bones and/or ligament damage dating from his earliest playing days, which would be his middle school and varsity career. Don't quote me on the exact injuries because I would have to do some additional research, just know that in addition to the ones that have gotten coverage while at Ole Miss, he has had OTHER considerable injuries that is a part of his background. I would provide the sources but, unfortunately, I cannot find the archived version of the articles. That said, best of luck to D.K., and as a fellow Mississippian, I wish him the best (just not against the Niners
).
