DK Metcalf

Dude had less than 100 yards more than Deebo and played 1 more game. Add in Deebo's rushing yards and he has more total yards and only 1 less TD.

But people in here acting like Deebo sucks because he's not as big as Metcalf.

This dude is going to put up a 1400 & 10 season and a few of these dudes will be like "yeah, okay but he's so stiff!"

Agreed. This shouldn't be about Deebo and us. Deebo is a stud and we have a top ranked o. But so many got caught up in what he couldn't do then looked past that He's 6'3 230 with one of the quickest 1st steps ever recorded. Like that isn't going to be an advantage.

Who wants a 6'3" 230 lb. beast who can run a 4.3? Who needs that when you can have small WR's instead? Lets give that to Russell Wilson.

He would have sucked if he came here. You need a scrambling type of QB who can extend plays to make him look good.

And I am actually one of the posters here that b***h all the time that we don't get big receivers
WOW‼️‼️‼️ You dumb bunnies are NEVER satisfied‼️ You see someone on another team make plays and you think that they would be better on the Niners‼️ Not only that, you believe that player is better than the players we already have‼️ Would Metcalf had made our record better⁉️ Stop this and appreciate Deebo‼️ The Niners are in the playoffs with homefield advantage‼️ Damn‼️ Let's go get this SuperBowl win and next year get Hurd on the field and see what happens

Its simply a matter of scheme fit nothing more. He's not a awful WR or anything but he went to a offense with a QB that fit his skill set.

I'd take Deebo and Brown over him all day for THIS scheme.

Good on DK, he should be happy he went where he did regardless of him being a 2nd rd pick.

This is overblown. Only 1 of his catches came on a busted play. Slants, drags, gos, digs any qb can throw. Probably won't be a good fit here but you don't need a scrambling qb for him.

Stephen hill was 6-4 220 and ran a 4.3, got drafted in the 2nd rd...why didn't he put up elite numbers? Why is he out of the league?

End of the day the WR position is important BUT system and the QB throwing them the ball matter a f**k ton.

Too assume he'd be the same player in our WCO is silly. Wilson is one of the best deep ball QBs in football. He extends plays allowing for these 50/50 balls to be had. That s**t matters.

Both of his long catches were based off blown calls on defense imo. DK is good no doubt he's big and can run fast

This is some grown man s**t.

It's unbelievable how slept on this class of WRs were by "experts". Then you have something like the 2017 draft where three mediocre guys go top 10.

Anybody who thinks Deebo sucks and Metcalf is better after not even a year of football is stupid. That's right I know this place is for opinions and people to express their thoughts and point of view. Opinions aren't wrong etc. Well that one is and your idiot if your already drawing conclusions.

More than likely they will both be good and both had outstanding rookie seasons. Anybody saying anything else is a moron.

The one they blitzed leaving everyone man on man. That's not a blown call. If someone wants to go for 50 on 3 and 10 when you need the stop or it's ballgame you take that risk.

By blown call I should have said horrible call. Cover 0 all out blitz with garbage DBs vs a QB who throws up 50/50 balls better than everyone

I never said DK sucks, his skill set is ideal for a certain scheme. None better than in Seattle. Both teams got quality WRs for the system they run.

Uh we got a pretty big guy too. He's just injured In Hurd. So they chose one big and small dude we were just unlucky ours got injured. I'll reserve judgement till he gets back.

And tbh while the muscle makes for more effective blocking it drastically cuts down in range of motion. It depends upon what you want. If you don't believe me lift for a few months then see how flexible you get

It's a matter of DK Metcalf being an elite athlete for the position and being a total beast at the point of catch. He would THRIVE in ANY scheme.
