He has already proven he will be a true No.1. Deebo you say? A No.2 may be, no way will Deebo be a true No.1 WR. To be a true No.1, you have to be able to execute big plays. Think Michael Thomas, now that's a true No.1. Likewise, Metcalf is well on his way. At this rate, he will probably become the No.1 come next season. Soon you won't hear much of Tyler Lockett's name anymore.

So he's proven in his rookie that he will be a true #1 because he's an MVP caliber quarterback who can extend plays.

8 drops, 3 fumbles, 1 of which sealed their loss against Baltimore, and the other on the 1 yard-line.

If that's what your #1 is doing....yikes.

900 yards and 7 TDs. Next season he will be even better.

Deebo? The guy is going to be a career No.2 at best. Fast, but not fast enough, can't go vertical.

We are talking about 2 levels of players here. And the 9ers still need a true No.1. Right now, Sanders will try to fill that void temporarily, but the dude is 32 and he won't be here for much longer.

People acting like he's anything less than a great WR are just being stubborn. He's got 900 yards and 7 TDs in his rookie year!

This dude is going to put up a 1400 & 10 season and a few of these dudes will be like "yeah, okay but he's so stiff!"

Its simply a matter of scheme fit nothing more. He's not a awful WR or anything but he went to a offense with a QB that fit his skill set.

I'd take Deebo and Brown over him all day for THIS scheme.

Good on DK, he should be happy he went where he did regardless of him being a 2nd rd pick.

It's a matter of DK Metcalf being an elite athlete for the position and being a total beast at the point of catch. He would THRIVE in ANY scheme.
Yeah probably not.

Look at our scheme for example. Metcalf is a larger, slower Goodwin if he played here.

Oh yes he absolutely can!!!

What fxxking system are we talking about? You make it sound like the guy can't even run crossing routes. Watch more Seahawks game pal, you can bet your as* he runs slants and catches them.

Oh and he runs a 4.3. Big, fast and strong. A complete match-up nightmare.

Conclusion, the 9ers fxxked up with the pick and gift-wrapped him to our best mate Pete.

Deebo is only a No.2 at the very best.

Just you watch, John Lynch will have to go back to the draft again to try to find that guy. Pettis is a disaster and will be either traded or cut. Deebo is serviceable, but no No.1. Sanders is 32. The only guy that looks the part is Jalen Hurd, but who knows whether his back will fully recover?

His skill set is made for Wilson and his style of football (got guys on FOX radio talking about it today as well). I disagree he's an elite WR in any system BUT he's got a chance to be very good in Seattle... end of the day that's all that matters for the franchise and him.

lol u serious?? you was begging for him to be here in this system the 1st few pages before we whiffed on him. Please don't play the scheme card now when u were arguing we should trade up for him before.

Apologies aren't needed,...alot of teams dropped the ball skipping on this animal,...not just us.

why the f**k do you think I SAID go look back at this page! I don't hate DK (proof is on page one and two) I thought his skill set was that of a deep threat guy. ANY team can use that. The more I watched of him I thought he wasn't a complete WR. toss in a serious neck injury and foot injury prior.

I do NOT think he would have 900 yards and 7 TDs like everyone is saying in this offense.

apologies lol stop.

He runs like 3 routes. We run a WCO offense that's based off timing routes and being able to separate quickly (not just north-south routes). DK would be a bigger Goodwin in this offense. Nothing wrong with that at all. He wouldn't have 900 yards and 7 TDs in this offense though.

Deebo has 959 total yards and 6 TDs so calm your tits. He's just fine. Your infatuation with big men is really weird.

FYI DK ISN'T the WR#1 in Seattle, it's Lockett who is like 5-10 180 man you must hate that
Calf is a better fit for seattle's big deep passing game. Deebo better for our intermediate precision, YAC game
Shanny has worked with Gordon who is pretty similar. I'm all for him getting his preferred guys like Deebo but Shanny is not an idiot who can't scheme a freak. If Metcalf was here he'd work out. Deebo is more ideal in this system though so it's fine.

Well when you think Shawn Poindexter is an NFL WR striclty because he's 6'5 you know you have a problem.

More total yards and he had 20 fewer targets in the passing game. 70% catch rate compared to DKs 58%. It's not crazy to think DK wouldn't do as well here, just like it isn't crazy to think both have #1 WR potential.

So Metcalf will be a superstar because he had 900 yards and Deebo will be a No2 receiver at best despite him having 802 yards whilst playing one less game than Metcalf? Makes sense
