Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

He may not be Quinnen Williams impressive but there is definitely talent there when he plays inside. Put him there with Bosa, Buckner and Ford on the same line and I think really good things can happen for the group all together.

To make it easier...

Pass downs:

Run downs:

Those clips make a good argument that Thomas is salvageable, but they don't mean that we should pass up an elite talent in QW just because we have another player at the position that may still develop into a solid player.

I think if Bosa is there we'll probably take him over QW, but it shouldn't be because we think Solomon Thomas will develop based on what we saw from a very limited number of interior snaps.
I want this kid on this team so bad. I just hope we don't fall into the trap of going need or positional value over talent. Damn near everyone is saying what we all know, he's going to be a dominant player inside. There aren't that many defensive players in the league who have the ability to completely wreck an offensive gameplan week in and week out. Q has that type of talent. Bosa is going to be damn good, but I don't think he'll ever have that type of impact against the run and pass. Lynch is probably losing sleep over which guy to select.

If Murray goes #1, they could try swapping firsts with the Jets (like the 2017 draft). Then, the decision would be on the Jets. Jets only have 6 picks (1, 3, 3, 4, 6, 7), so maybe they opt to secure Bosa if they can't trade down.
This also assumes:
1. Jets would rather trade up to get Bosa than pick Allen at #3.
2. Other teams are rumored to want Bosa at #1 or #2.

He knows whats up. Q is the best player in the draft.

Buckner and Q will wreck offensive lines around the league. Can't f**kin' wait.

Go to 11:55 in the video to hear him talk about Q.

It's what some of us are saying in here. Dude has potential to dominate at 3 tech and at NOSE. And, on passing downs - he'll be a monster. And, at same stage in their careers - Q is better than Donald. They have a different game...so, it can be tough to compare their films...but as a defensive lineman - I also believe Q is better at this age than Donald was.

IMO...Q has potential to be the hands down best DL in all of NFL in couple years. You don't pass on that.

C'mon Lynch...get this guy!

This needs to be the pick. After we got Ford, there is no doubt he makes the most impact

I'm thinking about how they would dominate the interior olines in our division.
So which one of you is Simms?! Check out my post #4118 in his thread, he almost quoted it!

Unfortunately I cannot see Quinnen Williams on this team.

I don't believe that Lynch will give up on Solly, he's too much of an optimist.

I agree. JD"s breakdown analysis of Solomon justified my confidence that Solomon will be a great 3-tech pass rusher and is already a very good run defender. So I'm hoping for a Bosa at #2, and if Bosa is gone, hope we can get a Allen and possibly do a trade down deal and acquire more picks if Bosa is gone. To me, if QW is there, I'd like ShanaLynch to pass because I also don't want them giving up on Solomon yet. Take the trade down and hopefully get another edge rusher to bolster Dee Ford and take home a Hershel walker type draft haul.

Funny you say that because his analysis of allen is almost word for word the stuff that is posted here.

Honestly, I don't think picking Q has anything to do with Solly. It's simply about taking the guy who has the potential to be truly dominant one day. Bosa is the cleaner and simpler fit, so I get it.

and yet he has SF taking Bosa and talks about him being a special player as well...he said he's one of the best edge rushers he's watched in a while (better than his brother).

let's not leave that out as well either way we're good to go at 2.
