I'm saying they already know they're taking Murray @ #1...they're getting their splashy FQB to go along with their splashy HC hire...they'll be relevant in the media and in the NFL after this. Fans will buy Murray jerseys (currently you can get a Rosen AZ jersey on discount ) espn/NFLN and Twitter will be in a Murray frenzy all yr.

NOW they're doing whatever it takes to push up Rosen's value...theres reportedly offers on the table for him, they want more....we're talking about QBs here, Rosen could change a franchise (in the right situation) those teams are seeing AZ has to move him, so they're low balling.

But Murray is visiting Arizona next week. If they had decided that they'll be drafting Murray and also trying to up Rosen's value - why meet with Murray? They should be blowing up leaks that they are in love with either Bosa or Q.

If Arizona knew a while back that they're going to be drafting Murray - why say anything and devalue Rosen? They should have traded him back then.

I don't know - just don't buy this argument. If this is what they were doing - they are doing a really s**tty job. Pllus, why would Rosen play along? He's coming to the voluntary workouts on Monday.

I know it's his first yr as a starter (and at DT). He's gonna have to build up more strength and muscle to play like he did this yr in the NFL. I don't buy the whole he's fat stuff, dude might have a harder time keeping the weight on vs being overweight imo.

I agree, he and his team (49ers ) will need to figure out his best playing weight and training plan.

I think ARI's logic is:
1. If they leaked the narrative that they liked Bosa the most, only teams that want Murray would ask about a trade up and they may not get Rosen offers.
2. By focusing more on Murray, they signal that Rosen could be had and teams that want Bosa may submit offers.
3. As long as there are multiple suitors, the best offer will come when teams are finalizing their draft strategy.
4. (Guessing) Rosen has an offseason workout bonus, so he'll show up anyway. Also, he knows he should make a good impression for other franchises.

Maybe not the best plan, but I think their plan is okay, so long as there are multiple teams bidding for Rosen.
I don't think they could've done much to hide their interest in Murray. Kingsbury has the same agent. Also, assuming OAK likes Murray, ARI clamming up on any trade down offer would easily tell teams that ARI wants Murray and doesn't want to risk getting jumped over.

Why wouldn't they meet with him again? I see no problem with a team meeting with the guy they plan on drafting even if they already know he's the pick.

They already blew up the leaks on liking Bosa/QW and had both of them in this past week.

What have they said that has devalued Rosen for a trade? They're simply waiting for the best offer and this article might explain why they're waiting.

Also who cares if he's at their strength and training program because that's all it is right now.

Meh. I don't think the teams that want Rosen will wait that long either, could he be traded right after they select Murray? Maybe, but imo that also makes it harder for AZ to get the most they can. It should happen within then next few weeks or right before the draft.
My first choice is QW, 2nd is Bosa, so idc if AZ takes Bosa #1 tbh

If Bosa is gone - it's a tough choice between QW and Allen for me. We need an ER, but is Allen that or a SAM? Therefore, it looks like it's going to be QW.

Having a line with buck, qw & ford is pretty damn good. Getting pressure up the middle is more valuable than off the edge tbh

Yeah, plus we can get an ER at #36, if any of the good ones are still around.

I'm sorry why wouldn't they wait if they feel his the best QB not named Murray? Read the article makes total sense.

And he might not be a good one.

I'm a big fan of chase, sure that's always true with any prospects. I don't expect him to be there.

Imo if Q ends up being the pick we might as well punt on edge (again). This draft is top heavy on edge but fizzles out after the top 20.
