I'm ok with QW, but then you need depth at edge. Saleh likes his DLine big and massive so I wouldn't be surprised if QW was picked. I just think if you have Jimmy as QB and Kyle as OC, your offense should be scoring a lot of points, and your defense will be facing teams that want to catch up to you via the pass, not run. If you can get a guy that can come at the QB from the blind side just as he's about to cock his arm to throw a pass, that's a turnover right there in my opinion. I'll take a turnover versus a sack any day.

QB's will be able to see Quinnenn, and cover up, when he's rushing from the middle. There *is a reason* that Edge rushers are the second highest paid players - generally - in comparison to all the other positions on the team. Only QB's are paid more, generally.

1) You believe Nick Bosa is on the same tier as a prospect.

2) You believe Solomon Thomas is going to be really good.

Scenario 1 is legit, but it amuses me how many people are using that because they don't want to admit they're in scenario 2, which is ridiculous.

Scenario 3. you have 5-7 DTs on the roster and 2 EDGE rushers.

That's the sort of sh*t that gets you fired, never pass on elite for good.

Meh, he'll be gone before pick #3.

How many days until he is a Niner?

So Bosa, if not considered elite (every analyst serms to think otherwise). Then Ford gets hurt. AA and Blair as our rush ends? Awesome.

Elite DTs get paid just as much as elite edge rushers. There's a lot of value in being able to generate pressure up the middle and not giving QBs a comfy pocket to step up into.

The DT's capable of generating that pressure consistently are far and few between which is why they are so well compensated.

Trey flowers just got $90 million (no one is calling him elite) the only true blue IDL getting that much currently are Donald and Cox.

Cox last signed a contract 3 years ago, why are you comparing him with contracts signed a few weeks ago? If he were to sign a new deal today, you know he'd get a large bump in pay.

The salary cap has to be spent somewhere right. We have ab, tackle, on defense we invest in premier defensive line? Fine by me. lol

If Buck gets hurt, AA and Solly are your interior guy's? Awesome. Works both ways.

Besides I already said that scenario 1) (which is where I am) is legit. I just know from past experience certain posters are hyping that narrative because they were so tied to the Solomon selection.

Buck+AA or Solly or Street or Day or DJ Jones. Way deeper at IDL than EDGE. If we had 46 EDGE rushers on the roster, I'd be all in on QW. Nothing against QW at all, just zero depth at edge after Ford. Won't be upset at QW pick, just a little confused.

Tag is higher for edge than DT

I'll take AA and ST at DT over Blair at edge if injuries happen at both spots

None of that sh*t matters if you have Quinnen rated as a tier to himself like Myles Garrett was, I personally don't, but I understand anyone who does.

Sure, but we're not talking about the average edge versus the average DT who earns less typically. We're talking about elite DTs that can stop the run and rush the passer at a high level. The few that can do both get compensated very, very well.
