Besides I already said that scenario 1) (which is where I am) is legit. I just know from past experience certain posters are hyping that narrative because they were so tied to the Solomon selection.

I'll take AA and ST at DT over Blair at edge if injuries happen at both spots

None of that sh*t matters if you have Quinnen rated as a tier to himself like Myles Garrett was, I personally don't, but I understand anyone who does.

We've had a guy as dominating in the middle as QW can be, and I saw first hand how a player like him can control the game by forcing teams to go side to side on run downs, and in pass rush mode, ironically, the 49ers used his speed and agility to patrol the LOS *and not rush* on Nickel and Dime situations. That was Michael Carter. Having said that.

The guy who put the fear of god in QB's was Charles Haley and Fred Dean. A lot of teams could scheme around Michael Carter, but they couldn't scheme around our elite edge rushers. But again, Michael wasn't really a factor in the playoffs - when teams were passing. Good playoff teams generally have decent to good interior O Linemen that would cancel out Michael, and good coaches that would scheme around Michael. But it was Fred, Haley, and to a certain extent Aldon that made their presence felt in the playoffs. A guy named chris long went from one team to another and won back to back super bowls, a guy name Charles went from one team to another and won super bowls with both teams. I haven't really heard of a DT/NT doing that. Have you?

i don't understand how anyone can put QW in a tier of his own after one season.

If he is then why would Arizona pass on him?

Because they are Arizona.

Fair argument from both ends, my counter would be that a franchise QB has always trumped everything.

No guarantee Oakland wants him over a defensive player. If Arizona doesn't take him he very well could fall because while he's a perfect fit for Kingsbury, he may not be everyone's cup of tea. Denver would never touch him I don't think. Elway has this height obsession.

A healthy Justin Smith wreaked some playoff havoc as well

If you had to objectively guess which one has a better chance to "drop" in this draft, who do think it will be?

IMO QW has a better chance

AA, Solly, Taylor, Blair, Street, etc. are your interior rotation.

Agree. It's that Tackle/End Combo that I've seen time and time again that can create such havoc on the offense. Specially if the tackle/end combo is towards the QB's blind side. You got one part of the piece already set with Buckner (he plays the Justin Smith role), add Bosa - and sign Buckner and give him $100 million USD and you have a possible dynasty defense in the making. QW is a fantastic player, and I can see him play a straight 4-2-5 defense as a gap penetrating interior lineman along with Buckner. I wouldn't want QW absorbing double teams and having to be in read-&-react mode. That's a terrible misuse of his fantastic agility, strength, and quickness. Now if you pick QW, you need that hybrid DB/Safety that can blitz and cover to give QW time to get to the QB and a 2nd tier edge rusher like a Ferrell or somebody like that - who can be freed up from the interior pressure of QW and Buckner to clock the QB from the blind side.

Still remember when Aaron Rodgers dropped 23 spots to Green Bay.
I like QW as the best player in this draft BUT if we pass on him for Bosa then Bosa better be Aldon Smith lite and Buck better be able to do for this defense what Justin Smith did so that we can begin to get back some of the defense we once had. I just have a hard time passing on QW even though we have Buck and now only 1 proven edge rusher. I get why Bosa makes sense but I am just not too sure Bosa will live up to the hype at this level of football or that he isn't already nearing his physical peak. QW looks as if he is just going to go bananas given the right situation
