Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

Yes and it's one of those, if one or the other sucks you're not mad at the fact they drafted him because they were the consensus studs. In the end it's a crapshoot, but we have great odds this time.

An NFL executive told me this week that Quinnen Williams' 15 minute Combine interview in INDY was as good as any 15 minute session he'd seen or been a part of from a defensive lineman before. Broke down opposing offense on film like he was an MLB; owned the room like a QB

Pretty consistent with everything I've read and heard about him. Hard worker, good character, student of the game, overachiever type that really loves football.

People think I like him because he's a DT. If he was a LB or CB playing at that high level, I'd still feel the same about him. He just has "it", whatever you want to define "it" as, he has that star quality and a guy who seems hungry to truly be the best, not Josh Rosen's corny b******t "nine mistakes" the best but actually wanting to be at the very top of his profession and being willing to put the work in to get there.

This is why if Bosa is gone he has to be the pick imo.

Lynch had Warren Sapp on his defensive team in Tampa, I can't help thinking he would prefer to have Q. Williams as his Sapp on the Niners over taking Bosa.

Lynch was also a safety who has so far ignored safety.

Who he used to play with IMO has zero to do with how his thought process works in regards to the draft/FA.
Is there a way we can get bosa AND QW? Maybe we trade Bourne to get back into the top 5?

Bourne, Ward, Garnett, Thomas AND Armstead to get back into the Top 5. That is four former 1st rounders for one current first rounder.

Edit: looks like someone else posted this earlier

Should read, even if Bosa is still there, he (Williams) has to be the pick.

As of today, I think if Arizona picks Williams (hopefully they don't) the 49ers will be trading out of the 2 spot. Get the feeling that Bosa to the 49ers is all but dead as of now.

You have the feeling because that's what you want? I have no idea how you can say it's all but dead now.

What makes you say that? Like 90% of all mocks have us taking Bosa.
