Quinnen Williams, DT Alabama

Bosa can't play inside as effectively as QW. QW has played DT, NT and originally lined up on bama's depth chart at DE. Also, on base downs you want a player to stop the option of being able to run the middle. He will do that. If people are afraid of Bosa, being injured, put him in the middle at not at the edge and watch that happen.

I like both. Want either one. The question is whether Solomon excels when they finally kick him inside and not making him play out of position. Not every player can. If QW is Suh or Donald (conjecture), why not QW.

Philly has Graham inside rush all of time. The strip sack that won the Super Bowl that came from an inside rush. Base wise you won't use him as a tackle but it's a passing league and Bosa can rush from anywhere

Got damn he got me sold, I'm not even gonna be mad if Lynch took him over Bosa

This. I'll be happy either way.

Bosa has played the B gap at OSU. You can line him up from 3-tech to 9 if you really want. Same as his brother. I'm not saying he's better than Q inside just saying he's very versatile.

Q was a DE when he was like 40 lbs lighter, you're not pushing him outside now. sure you're play him at NT/DT, I don't see how that more versatile?

Go look at the video breakdown in the ST thread when he played inside...worlds better than as a straight up DE. Thomas was never a true edge rusher in college. He's an ideal 3-tech. Bosa makes this roster overall better. Q is probably the better prospect, but ultimately plays a less impactful position. He's not Donald imo

I have a clip of Bosa as a Sophomore devouring a double team at 2i.

Yes sir

I would and I have him higher than Bosa.

If you have him higher than Bosa why would you be upset about picking him?

Let's say on a scale of 1-10 I have Q at a 9.2 and Bosa as a 9.

You then gotta factor in that we have like 6 IDL (one who's basically a rookie this yr) that are all young and at the very least decent. Throw in we already have a pro-bowl stud 3-tech. Add in we have ONE edge rusher, who's got back issues....and finally you need to think about impact of position and for me edge>>DT.

It's the same reason why most people has Nelson as the top prospect last yr, yet guys like Chubb and Ward went higher.

So while Q is a very good prospect, so is Bosa and yes I would be bummed if they drafted him over the edge rusher based on everything I stated.

Roughly translated, I still think Solomon Thomas is good but with less conviction than before!

LOL, If that's what you got out of that.
I'm content with he or Bosa but they better not give me any of this Josh Allen s**t.

No, silly - it's going to be Bosa.
I've been on the Bosa train for a while because I think he's a better fit with our roster (we have serviceable DTs in base and sub packages next to Buckner), but I wouldn't be mad with QW at all. As long as we get one of them or a package of picks in a trade down, I'll be happy.

QW has one of the highest ceilings in the draft because he's only been a starter for one year and he's carrying a lot of bad weight. He has a lot of room to get stronger and more athletic while guys like Bosa and Allen are maxed out as athletes. In his first year as a starter, QW was probably the most dominant defensive player in college football.
