This whole 20+/- oreo cookie fat weight thing is a joke these days with Donald, Thomas, and now QW in a passing league.

The reality is the 20 extra pounds probably did nothing for QW inside. Like Thomas, if you have the skill set to play inside, you have the skill set.

Disagree, at that weight you feel a loss of 20 pounds, especially if it isn't good weight (speaking from experience!) He'll be a lot sharper going forward with good weight.

But the 20 pounds of Oreo's wasn't what magically helped him inside. It was his skill set. He could get down to 285, burn the fat, add the muscle and be even better. But then is he too "small" to play 1T or 3T? Of course not.

What are they going to do with AA if they draft Bosa?

Eitherway he's gone in a year.

You don't pass on talent for need. The Rams reportedly had Khalil Mack as the #1 player on their draft board. They opted for Greg Robinson since they needed a tackle. Now Mack is an All Pro and Robinson isn't even on the Rams roster. Imagine what havoc Mack and Donald would be wreaking right now? But the Rams had Robert Quinn so edge wasn't a need.

If you're Lynch you'd better walk out with Bosa, Williams or a MASSIVE bounty of picks from a trade down.

This is EXACTLY where I'm at.

Yup.

Why can't he be? Why can't he be at the very least his brother who's got 28.5 sacks in 33 games?

That's a weird way to look at it - because guards and centers hardly ever get drafted that high but DTs do get drafted in top 10 in most drafts. Nelson was soooo good that he got drafted super high regardless of position.

You should compare Nelson to Mike McGlinchey. Who got drafted earlier? A Guard or a Tackle? Who is more impactful? Everyone will say a tackle is. But, Nelson was drafted before because he was sooo much better even though McGlinchey was rated pretty damn high as well.

Nothing weird about it...Nelson was looked at as the best player in the draft (and best player at his position in yrs), yet Chubb got taken higher. Go look at past drafts, edge rushers get drafted higher because of position of impact, same s**t as QB. Q was ranked higher and Baker went first....no one in Cleveland is crying about missing out on Nelson. No one in Denver is crying about getting Chubb and not Nelson.

It's also a reason why not many people aren't saying Q will go #1.

Positional value matters, man...roster makeup matters. It would be one thing if Q was worlds better than Bosa BUT overall he isn't, both are regarded as the two top players and by a wide margin.

Finally on the Bosa train, welcome aboard. We'll celebrate together!

Kinda weird that you'll be
celebrating him playing for the Cardinals but its cool, people are into all kinds of freaky stuff nowadays. I don't judge.

So hurtful.

Comparing OG and DE positions is strange to say the least and then apply it to DT vs DE is even worse.

If you're gonna compare Guard - you compare it to OT. OT is the most important position on offense after QB. But a guard was taken higher because he was better.

A RB was taken before Chubb in last year's draft. So, you think RB has more impact than a DE?

And everyone has said it was dumb as s**t to draft a RB ahead of a QB or even Chubb...Even though that RB was ranked higher than the QB and DE.

edge is just a more important position that DT and it's a reason why they get drafted higher.

Now if Bosa is gone then you have to think about Q

Left tackle is the premiere position and McGlinch profiles more as a rt. That's more valuable than guard and rt can go top 5 but it's not as common.
Bosa to the Cards, QW to the 49ers. It's essentially a done deal at this point. QW and Buckner are going to wreak havoc in the interior for years to come. Bosa will wreak havoc on the Cardinals medical staff and at Trump rallies for years to come. We're going to be real happy that we got QW instead.

Only that report has Q going #1 sorry my man.
If the 49ers do draft QW, I will be a little sick and disappointed. And it has nothing to do with QW. Hes a beast. My feelings stem from the realization that the 2017 draft will officially be a catastrophic disaster. By drafting QW, they officially throw in the towel on Solomon. George Kittle is the only player preventing it from being an epic 2012 Baalke-level failure.
