I'm with ya.

So you would rather hang on to players who you know can't play. Also not draft a player you know can play. All because "we drafted guys in the past at similar positions."

I see what you're saying, but that's not a reason not to do it. Besides Akhello, Taylor and Colbert have all flashed, they can get back there.

Plus I don't care they were UDFA's, Brieda and Mullens count as postives from that class.

Right. But that doesn't change the realization part for me.

The class is bad; It would become catastrophic.

What report?

The one that everyone has been talking about as to why Murray won't go #1 (cbs Prisco) he has Q going #1

Hopefully no one is actually believing anything that Pete Prisco writes. If it was Adam Schefter, Mort, or Ian Rapoport I would give it some credence but Prisco is a dummy.

I knew that draft would be a disaster but most people thought I was trolling. The same will hold true if they draft Bosa....

Tough truth to admit. Most of us didn't want Thomas, but understood the "safe" pick even tho redundant. Then we all understood the "unsafe" pick with Foster with our worst fears realized last year. Just a rough draft all around.

They need to have a great draft.
Longtime draft writer Bob McGinn polled 14 personnel people on their choice as the best player in this year's draft, and Williams got six votes, the most of anyone.

The 6-foot-3, 300-pound Williams won the Outland Trophy last year as the best lineman in college football and is widely expected to be one of the first names called on Thursday night, although he hasn't been mocked to Arizona with the first overall pick. Some see Williams going second overall to San Francisco.

The others receiving votes from McGinn's panel of personnel people were Ohio State pass rusher Nick Bosa with three votes, Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with two votes, and Kentucky pass rusher Josh Allen, Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins and Mississippi State defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons with one vote apiece

I didn't want Thomas to be an edge rusher....he's played out of position for almost two yrs. jonnel put together a great video breakdown of Thomas as a DT and you can clearly see that's where he belongs.

Highly doubt this is going to happen but it would be a huge blessing for us. Either get Bosa or a major haul from a team wanting Murray.

Q is without doubt the best player in this draft class, let alone the best defensive player.

The tape speaks for itself. The kid destroys double-teams for breakfast.

If we don't or can't trade down, he simply has to be the pick.

Bosa wise is no big deal, he is a high floor low ceiling guy. He is overhyped and just not special enough. I keep trying to explain to people, he ain't no Von Miller. Teams can easily take another EDGE like Sweat, Ferrell, etc and they won't lose much if any in fact.

But, if we must take an EDGE, the right thing to do is to trade down.

I definitely will not hate on drafting Bosa, but passing on QW will sting for me
