#Jets DL Quinnen Williams was arrested and charged at LaGuardia Airport for criminal possession of a weapon. Police say the Queens DA will handle the matter after he's processed by Port Authority Police. Williams does have an Alabama permit for the Glock 19 pistol.

UPDATE: @PANYNJ tells me @QuinnenWilliams was in fact arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon as he was attempting to board a flight at @LGAairport. The gun he was carrying had as an Alabama permit. @ABC7NY @RyanFieldABC https://t.co/eSOQto9iSB

I don't think much will come of this. Dumb mistake but its not like dude was walking around brandishing his gun. If you come from the South and you're going to play somewhere with draconian gun laws, just leave them at home.

Agreed but why is it that football players never seem to know this. They spend a third of the year travelling, they are paid more than generously by most standards and they work for organisations with a vested interest in keeping them out of jail and out of the headlines. And still.....
All I will say is, total gratitude that this did not happen to our 1st round pick. Can you imagine the "cut Bosa, sack Lynch" postings?

It's licensed in Alabama. Not New York. He is young and probably just didn't realize the problem here. I don't think he was intentionally trying to do something wrong.

O I can guarantee he wasn't up to anything but- still- it's New York and how do you not know the laws there if you are a gun owner and planning on traveling with one. In New York.
It's borderline Darwinism award territory

Lol heard this before....doesn't matter if he planing to shoot someone. You can't roll into LaGuardia with a glock. What a idiot.
