Unless he was doing something really dumb, like if it was loaded in his bag, he won't see any jailtime. First time offender+rich people lawyers=Fine+suspended sentence.
Yeah this isn't a heinous act, it's a stupid act.

Yeah he wouldn't get jail time, he will be suspended and he's an idiot.
Lets all thank Zona once again for taking Kyler and making our choice easy.

Even a suspension won't be very long. Foster got caught with marijuana + got a gun charge and he wound up with 2 games.
Who the hell wanted this guy on our team?

Boarding a plane carrying a gun? A few years back I got the third degree for a 2 inch nail clipper.

It's licensed in Alabama. Not New York. He is young and probably just didn't realize the problem here. I don't think he was intentionally trying to do something wrong.

But had we drafted him the place would have gone into meltdown. As it did with Aldon in an airport. But as he doesn't play for us, excuses are made.

The airport security situation has been in place for years and has been well publicised. All NFL teams, and I imagine in all probability major colleges like Alabama, will have explained the situation to their players. There is also signage in airports and in airline websites.

Wait so guns on airplanes aren't allowed these days? What next I can't bring my shoe bombs on board?

Only if you board at Paris.

You have to be a complete moron to not know it's illegal to carry a firearm, loaded or not on an airplane. If he doesn't know that he shouldn't be carrying one in the first place. I never buy the idea that they forgot it was in their bag. You don't or shouldn't forget that you are carrying a gun. That's part of the responsibility. That's one of the problems with guns. Too many people own them that have no idea what the laws are or how to properly handle them. They think playing video games makes them qualified to own one.

Doesn't matter his intent at this point. Are you familiar with NY gun laws?

It was 3 then he got it dropped a game I believe . He's still an idiot.

This part is at least good. Loaded/unloaded can be the difference between the judge loving you tenderly or largely letting you go with a warning, fine and community service.
