Yeah I remember that just being dumb lol

Who is your top tackle then? This is not a good group.

It's indicative of the way colleges are playing these days, the spread tackles don't even know how to pass set.

No tackle prospect has completely clean tape, the above has just come up because they have seen he has short arms, and are looking for confirmation bias.

A couple of bad reps do not ruin a body of work that spans 4 years at the very top of college football, playing for a pro football factory, just think of the practices against the guys through Bama in his time?

Ya not a lot of future LT in this class but I see a bunch of players who will be long term RT on the next level.

So far I have:

1.Greg Little
2. Yodny Cajuste
3. Dalton Risner
4. Cody Ford
5. Andre Dillard

I still think Jonah can play LT in the NFL, and I'm not sure how many of those I could say that for. I love Risner, but he struggled hugely against Josh Allen. Sometimes it's about matchups, Risner handled Ferrell really well as he's long and strong.

Jonah does better against speed as his footwork is top notch, I know who I'd prefer.

I think Isiah Wynn is a better verison of Jonah Williams and I have doubts about him being a LT. We have one small LT in Green Bay but usually that position requires a certain amount of length. I'm not saying Jonah couldn't play LT, just doubt he will be anyone's long term LT.

The Patriots didn't have any doubts, he was starting over who people around here refer to as the best Tackle in the NFL!

Just go and look at how many people earn Saban's trust and start as a rookie, the list is not long.

Gotta add Jawaan Taylor to that list...I think there's some really good depth at tackle in this draft.

Again I think Wynn is better so it makes sense. Jonah is a solid player but doesn't have nearly as good feet.

I was going to say that, but I've only seen him Vs FSU & Kentucky (basically while watching Burns & Allen) he kicked Burns' ass, Allen beat him a few times, though if I recall he had more success Vs the LT.

I've watched a few games of Taylor came away very unimpressed. He has the look you want but he has lazy hands and feet.

Boy his footwork looked pretty good to me for a big guy

Are we watching the same two plays?! First play yes he does a good job of staying in front but you ideally don't want to be pushed back to where the QB has to escape out the pocket lol. He's a big boy and pretty damn athletic so he's able to anchor and stay square to the line of scrimmage but damn that's the bar we are setting? This is a bad OT class.

Play 2 is exactly what I saw a lot of. His feet are lazy because now Allen beat him to the edge, he's in chase mode, he fell to the ground, and he's holding the living hell out of Allen who I think on this clip again shows he has no idea what to do mid rush.

Did his guy make the play on either clip? No. But we could break it down step by step on this second one but in no way shape or form was that good footwork.

Edit: Am I watching the wrong guy?

Lol ya, and the guy you've been watching is the most disappointing player of all time. I been mocking him since 2017 draft and he just never developed. Clip 1 on taylor is very nice. Was expecting an outside speed rush, cheated a bit, and had the athleticism to recover vs the inside move.
