You're planing for something that doesn't need to be replaced next yr. currently they have two journey men as our edge rushers (Watson/marsh).

Why not spend a 2nd or 3rd on a guy with the tools to be a solid RT, let him learn and develop, then put him in after the 2019 season?

Why not spend some cash on a tackle in 2020?

Max Scharping out of NIU is someone I'm keeping a close eye on. I think he has a lot of potential as a developmental tackle.

Recorded the Toledo-NIU game pretty much to watch him, like what I saw in that game, seems to have decent athleticism and a good pass set, but I'm no OL expert!

I understand the logic here, but I wonder if McGlinchey can be a LT. He is playing well so far. McGlinchey moving over somewhat seamlessly, would be a huge bonus for the rebuild.

The difference between what's required at LT is very similar to RT these days, gone are the times of quick footed LT's and big bumbling RT's.

I think that's to do with the additional speed everyone is putting on the field.

If you're a good RT chances are you're going to be a good LT.

I wouldn't be mad IF we addressed Corner and EDGE in Free Agency.

We can't. We need more than one player and free agency won't do it all.

So you don't think we can grab a CB and pass rusher in Free Agency?

We can sign a corner, but we are not likely imo to find a reasonably young, high quality edge in FA.

Answered it for me. I'm not really interested in a Attaochu type of signing. With the remaining guys that are left, it all depends. I'm not really interested in Ansah or Clowney. Prefer Lawrence (a long shot) or Brandon Graham (a solid vet that can play 1st and 2nd down).
Graham is realistic and should be our target. I loved him in the draft, and the sb. Take that Brady

You do realize the draft and free agency is littered with edge rushers?

Out of all those teams you meationed only the chiefs spent a top 5 pick on OT and he's not even their best tackle. You know what slows down a good offense? A guy who can get to the QB

Like how Myles Garrett slowed them down? Or Vonn Miller and Bradley Chubb?

Again who's their top end OTs then?? Eric Fisher is the only top 5 OT out of that bunch you talked about.

Von Miller won Denver a damn SB. They're not losing in Cleveland because of Myles Garnett and you know it. Horrible take imo

Considering you have no idea what edge rushers even makes it fo FA there's nothing to go off of from there.

I don't want to draft a developmental edge rusher in the 2nd or 3rd.

I'd love to bring in graham, that said they will still need a nickel edge rusher as well.

Yes...take those guys away and Chiefs may put up 60+.

Schwartz is their best tackle by far...2nd rd pick and a FA signing.
Jonah was solid last night, but that game put the focus on the other Williams for me. I've cooled just a little on him, still a hell of a player but might not quite be can't miss.

I actually think he will probably be there when we pick, I think his run blocking style would fit zone much better and I think most that would pick above us would want more power at that draft slot.

Don't be surprised if Staley retires after this year.

Don't be surprised if we end up drafting this kid even if he doesn't retire.
