Brett Rypien, QB, Boise St.

I've paid zero attention to this QB class since the Niners aren't in the market for a QB. That said, every time I see this guy play, I can't help but see Kirk Cousins. The footwork, accuracy, ball placement, throwing mechanics, the body type, the occasional questionable/boneheaded throws, etc. Dude seems to make a big-boy throw every time I watch him, yet he has no buzz at all. I read that he wasn't even invited to the Senior Bowl.




The way he snaps his head back to the field off the PA, the narrow stance, the compact, snappy release, full-body throw with feet never leaving the turf. I swear that's Kirk Cousins lol!


Dude seemed to make a big-boy throw weekly.

Welp, I guess I'm not the only one seeing things.

I'd be down to trade Beathard, draft Rypien. I've seen quite a few Boise St games and he seldom has a bad game. He's got good size, is mobile enough and has a good arm. Boise St has a very good football program, a reason why we're seeing more & more players from there in the NFL.
