Dwayne Haskins-QB-Ohio State

I agree, I think the Jags pull the trigger. Their team is pretty stacked other than QB and I think they can afford the draft capital to go get that franchise QB.

Jags would be the perfect team for him. I am a huge Haskins believer. The rest of the qb class is doodoo but I think he is a legit good qb even if he was in a better qb class. Jags need a leader, he is the one for them.

Rose bowl is barely watchable. It sounds like a morgue in there. A couple nice passes by Haskins, but when in the world did the Rose bowl turn into such a ho hum game? Maybe Haskins is off his feed today, IDK. But his work out there today is NOT inspiring anybody to move up the board to #1 for him. I know he has been rated highly most of season, but what i just saw in 2nd qtr was really blah. And no, he does not look sharp. Nor does he look like someone a Qb needy team would want to move up for. Sure, someone or some two might just do that, but right now? Mistake.

This game is just boring. And still quiet as a tomb. Maybe Ohio State comes alive in 2nd half but wow...uninspiring game. State's DBs look pretty darn good breaking up passes. And UW looks moribund also. Got spoiled int the ALA game . We saw some players there. Neither of these teams would have given ALA a game.

Like others i had hoped Haskins would tear it up. No soap so far.

He's up against a pretty good defense with a lot of NFL caliber players, he's not going up against Weber State. He's played pretty well, has moved the football down the field consistently and has made some great throws, has looked in control at the line of scrimmage.

No lie that Ohio State has a phenomenal OL and they gave Haskins all day to throw. Yes he went thru his progressions, but imagine him behind OUR OL. Haskins is going to be lucky to have an OL like he played behind in college once he's in the pros. And the State D backfield and LBs were excellent. Maybe i was a bit unfair initially, but still, the State OL gets a big love for Haskins production today. He throws a nice intermediate ball, a good deep ball, but gee whiz, man did he ever have the time.

Right now, i bet Ohio State would have made a way better game in the final four than ND did. State's D is not chopped liver. Some of those young men are playing pro soon.
Teams have a tendency to fall in love with Quarterbacks as it gets closer to the draft, he looked really good but not special, so I don't know
If best player available for us the Alabama interior linemen, I'm not feeling all that warm and fuzzy.

I mean Mitch got dominated by Thomas all game during his bowl game...still went 2nd overall.

Just saying

Dude you could say that about a lot of college QBs...the thing is he does go through progressions. He's looking off safeties. He put up the stats you want and bear top teams and has the size/arm strength you want from a pro prospect.

There's no doubt in my mind a team will move up to draft him (not saying it will be all the way to 1 or 2).
He sucks
So is a team moving up to #1 for him?

lol You mean the NC OT got dominated by Thomas? That is true but Trubisky still showed the mobility and arm that resulted in him going 2nd. It was a mixed bag but he certainly showed the skill set that NFL teams love.

We seem to have a difference of opinion on this. I would bet money against it.

Mitch was not worth a 2nd, nor is Haskins. I doubt someone trades up but stranger things have happened. Haskins did nothing to hurt his top 10 chances today

I've seen Drew Lock mocked to them. If they take another Missiouri QB and bust fans will burn that place down. Trading up for Haskins would be the best bet to o fix their QB issues. IMO
So is Haskins potentially our savior? Let's hope he has a strong lead up to the draft and teams start making offers to the Cards. Cardinals need a lot....could make sense for them to trade back
He certainly helped himself.

Better for us!
