Haskins will be the number 1 pick. He's a stud that a team will trade up for.

1 Bosa
2 Allen (although I wish it was Williams if Bosa is gone)
3) Haskins to NYG in trade with Jets
4) Q Williams to Oakland
5) J Williams to Jets
SO NY/Jags won't move up to 2.... but could move up to 3? IMO Haskins upside and potential is up there with guys like Goff & Mitch.

Exactly. Haskins is being incredibly underrated? I would be shocked if he isn't the number 1 pick. Oakland may be a surprise team moving up as well.

I could see this happening on draft night but moving up to only #3 any moment sooner is a risky move. It made sense for the Jets last season because there were a lot of good QB's. Doesn't make as much sense this year.

I think the cost to get to #2 would be much higher than 3. The Niners would really need a lot to lose out on Bosa, Williams or Allen. We shall see but I would bet money Haskins doesnt go top 2. The Jets really could use a top OT which is why I really believe they would entertain the move down and select J Williams.

Just think if Gruden traded the 49ers Mack, he could've had Haskins and Allen or Q Williams.

I dont think its THAT risky simply because if another team moved in front of the Giants to 1 or 2 to take Haskins they would still be able to draft one of the 3 premier players in the draft with Bosa, Williams, or Allen. Right now at 5 they would could easily miss out on all 4 players.

I've seen several people do the "why would a team move up to 1 or 2 when the Cards/49ers already have a QB and it would cost less to move to 3/4"
Haven't we learned from the last few years? When was the last time a QB hasn't gone #1 overall or in the top 2 picks?
Mayfield last year #1 overall.
Mitch Trubisky #2 overall the year prior - think looking at that draft now that Mahomes wouldn't be worth #1 overall despite how great Garrett is?
Goff/Wentz 1/2
Winston/Mariota 1/2
Outside of maybe Winston/Mariota none of those QBs were #1 overall picks by most people's standards this time those years.
Look at the teams who had a bye week in the playoffs this year.
KC - powerhouse offense, defense so so.
Pats - powerhouse offense, defense so so
Saints - powerhouse offense, defense so so
Rams - powerhouse offense, defense so so
Some of the best defenses in the game just got bounced from the playoffs.
Sure edge rushers are still super important but if a team sees Haskins as a franchise QB recent history has shown you make the trade and get it done.
And by not moving up to #1 you're giving another team a chance to swipe the QB away from ahead of you. It's why the Jets moving up to #3 overall last year was so crazy. They basically made the move and said they were ok with #3 QB on their board if it went down that way.
Can't do that this year. There aren't 4 top 10 worthy QBs. There is Haskins and nobody else. Some team will make the jump IMO. Question is does Arizona want to stay there or will they move down. IMO their team would certainly be helped by Bosa but overall not as much as moving down, getting more picks and going OL or ending up with one of the other edge guys or Quinnen Williams or Ed Oliver.

Man Ohio State has the potential to make a lot of niner fans happy.
-Halfley is gone
-Haskins could bait a team to trade to number 1.
-Bosa could be ours

If he traded us Mack we wouldn't have been picking #2 overall :D
He would've at the very least helped us close out a couple of those close games we lost. Who knows how him being on the team would've changed other things.
Maybe the KC game is a lot closer or maybe we're even ahead in it and Jimmy never gets hurt...etc.

Starting QB & HB would have still been out.

As to the Jets last year it worked out quite nicely getting Darnold. Many people had him as the #1 prospect in the draft and he has a huge upside in my opinion.
I guess it truly comes down to how much teams love Haskins. Maybe you are right and a team will pay a kings ransom to trade with Arizona or Niners. I dont see it but time will tell.

Hopefully Haskins is seen as a better prospect than Bortles, EJ Manuel and Geno Smith. He has to be, right?
