If he traded us Mack we wouldn't have been picking #2 overall :D

He would've at the very least helped us close out a couple of those close games we lost. Who knows how him being on the team would've changed other things.

Maybe the KC game is a lot closer or maybe we're even ahead in it and Jimmy never gets hurt...etc.

Starting QB & HB would have still been out.

Which is why they would likely be 6-10 with Mack and not going to the playoffs. If Jimmy, Jet were healthy AND we got Mack....floors looking like 8-8 IMO, probably more like 10-6.
I'll bet rent money that he'll be drafted in the top 5.
I think being the number 2 pick could be the best spot in the draft this year. Remember, every QB needy team within range will be sweating what other teams are doing and if other teams are in talks with AZ or the Niners. This will cause at least one GM to jump. If AZ choses a position outside of QB, I think it could be a total frenzy at the second pick. Unfortunately, we wont know until draft day.

I don't see why AZ with a new HC wouldn't be in the running for Haskins? I know they have Rosen, but his deal is only for 17mm, total. If the new coach falls in love, who knows? I do admit, it is unlikely though.

Gruden certainly has all the fire power he needs to move up. Lets hope he channels his inner Mike Dika and sees Haskins as his Ricky Williams.

I think its unrealistic for either Arizona or Oakland to draft Haskins. As in VERY unlikely. The 3 teams that would really be in the running to trade up would be the Giants,Jags, and Broncos. None of know how these teams view Haskins as a future franchise QB. They could easily sign Foles and keep all their picks for other positions.

I DO hope that Arizona trades out for a QB needy team though as that would let Bosa fall right in our laps.

I would agree because it seems unlikely that the Giants would pass at #5 if he is sitting there.

I know things got a little better as the year went on, but I'm not sure Gruden is in love with Carr. This is his chance to move on if he likes Haskins.

This guy has to remind the Raiders too much of Jamarcus Russell.

Good point. Not sure Foles is much cheaper than Carr though. And why dump Car for Foles? We'll see.

Could be wrong obviously but I think he will stick with Carr and shore up all the Raiders other needs.

Why?
My only question for teams like the Giants, Jags and Raiders is... is drafting Haskins now a smarter move than waiting till the 2020 QB heavy draft? Yes you never know which players are gonna come out and you'll never know your draft position but next years QB crop seem much better

Tua not looking at all like a first overall pick. This has to help Haskins case for teams debating waiting a year as it exposes the "grass is always greener" effect.

I'm not sure it's a slam dunk that any of the qb's in 2020 are significantly, if any, better than Haskins. Trevor Lawrence in 2021 is the only guy I see as a slam dunk better prospect but no GM on the hot seat needing a qb can wait 1 year, let alone 2 years.
Why would the Eagles let Foles go first of all? Wentz has proven to be a glass jar in terms of injuries and lets be honest, he wasn't exactly tearing it up before his back injury this year. The Eagles would be wise to try and keep him.
