Isn't it obvious...

They're both black.

Agreed, I don't see any team trading for Flacco, Ravens will release him at some point this offseason

And then he goes where? One of these qb desperate teams will sign him.

I'm guessing flacco ends up on the dolphins

I'm trying to find some other reason to compare them... I mean, he could end up being a bust but there's better ways of saying that
O baby. Heres hoping the hype goes all the way to the top.

If not maybe it goes all the way to #2 and we can trade down to #s 6, 7, or 9 and get some loot.

Not only that - but they're both one year wonders heading into their perspective drafts.

JaMarcus Russell played 2 years. Had no buzz up until the Bowl game and definitely after his workout. Hardly a 1 year wonder.
Haskins was a Heisman lookout before he even played this year. You can call him a 1 year wonder but he had the hype before he played and all year. He was always on the lookout whether it was battling Herbert if they declared or likely #1 if he declared. He broke passing records at OSU.

They are nothing alike coming out.
I've been watching a lot of Brian Burns tape, which just leads me to rooting Haskins on. Assuming Bosa is off the board, I love the idea of trading back within the top 10. I think when all is said and done, Burns will be worthy of a pick in the 7-10 range, ala Leonard Floyd and Aldon.

Works for me. Id take him 5-6. If we snag a couple extra picks (likely a future 1) how can you be mad?

You maybe right - I just don't like Haskins heading into the combine. I'm sure things will change.

Russell never threw for almost 5,000 yards, had 50 TDs to 8 INTs, and completed 70% of his balls in a college season.

Wasn't that for two seasons for Haskins?
Still good, just curious?

Never mind.. just pulled up his stats

This is really going to get interesting.

The bidding war for both #1 & 2 will be intense. especially for #1.

If the Cards opt not to trade and take QWill what will we do and what will we be offered??

Well this may be the best thing that could have happened for us.

Hopefully we get bosa or a lot of picks
Here's to hoping someone wants him at #1 or #2 (and for #2, specifically the raiders, giants, or jags)

Seriously, kid balled out this yr if he kills the draft process I wouldn't be shocked to see a team move up to 1 or 2.

Imo that's why getting that 2nd overall pick was so important.
