no f**king way. I'll be shocked if he's taller than 5'9 and weights more than 190 lbs.

Who was the last QB under 6 feet to get drafted in the first rd? I mean has that ever even happened? Kid played in the big 12 where defenses don't exist. Also gotta look at the teams that need a QB. You think Coughlin is taking a munchkin at QB? I don't. Same with gettleman. Maybe the Saints take him in the 2nd because they already have a smaller QB and nothing behind Brees.

Haskins is a grown ass man.
Kliff likes Murray, a lot.

LOL Want to make a large wager on this? There isnt a chance in hell that Murray is drafted in the first nor will his football bonus be anywhere near his baseball signing bonus.

NFL execs are already saying "Thursday or Friday" so he absolutely has a chance at the first round.

Which NFL execs? Link? I could see late 2nd rd MAYBE if a team wants to really gamble but no way 1st. If he gives up baseball for football it would really be a bad decision.

So we still dont know what NFL execs actually think that or would pull the trigger on a midget QB in the first rd. The kid is a great athlete but I just dont see any team being that gusty or foolish(depending on how you think about him) to take him with a valuable 1st rd pick. Way too much risk

I mean there's risks when taking just about any prospect especially a QB

There are but I think there are just too many with Murray. I think 3.... 1) too short to be really effective unless he is running all over the field, 2) Huge risk for injury given his size and the likelihood of him taking some big hits, and 3) the real possibility of him going to baseball.

I hope I am wrong about Haskins and Murray and that one goes #1. All I want is Bosa or a huge haul from a trade down. I just am skeptical about both guys right now.

Murray needs to be in a certain scheme no doubt. Kliff run offense would make total sense. If he's signing up to be a NFL QB he's not playing baseball. Regardless not really our problem lol.

Not sure why people are down on Haskins? Dude has the size, arm talent, and can go through progressions. He put up insane stats for a pocket passing QB and IMO he's in the same realm as Goff and Mitch. Not sure what's skeptical about him if those guys can go top 2.

I wouldn't be so sure. Same things were said about Wilson who's a whole 1 inch shorter. Granted Wilson was drafted in the 3rd round, I think teams would be more willing to take that chance based on Wilson's success and a draft class starved of talent along with Mayfield's success who came from the same system and Murray outperformed him in it. This kid is a better quick twitch athlete than both of them and possesses the same arm.

Wilson is 5'11" and built like a tank. Murray is like 5'9" and looks to be about 180 pounds. Getting passes batted down was already an issue for him in college.

This kid is about to make a big mistake. And he will have to return his signing bonus.

LOL that money he returns is chump change for the signing bonus he could get in the NFL

What sort of signing bonus do 5th round picks get? The A's signing bonus was reported to be $4.66 million. Chump change?

LOL and you know he's going in the 5th how? You really think he and his agent and his family is dumb enough to decide that entering the NFL draft is a better decision for him after already being drafted in the 1st round of MLB if that's where they believe he's going? Prepare to laugh when the next report we read says that he recieved a 1st round grade from the draft advisory board and prepare to laugh again when it happens

Why do I have a feeling that all kinds of ridiculous is going to take place in this years draft? I hope this kid measures in at 5'10". If he does he's going #1, watch and see.

He is an exciting college player but this might be- as others have said- a mistake.

Look at the size of the football in this pick. It's a college ball and not the "duke" then just go look at some random pro qb pic.

Best of luck to him.

I can picture him fumbling 99.9 % of his snaps...Alex Smith had little hands, but this dude's hands aren't even half the size of Smith's

He didn't fumble much in college, don't see it being an issue all of a sudden. In spite of those tiny hands he can really sling the ball. If he was 4-5 inches taller he'd likely be the 1st pick overall.

I'm just joshin around about that. But those are some cute little hands.

Yeah if he were that much taller, I can really picture Kliff consider his comment from a few months ago...as it is now, I don't think Murray goes in the first round in the up coming draft. I can picture a team picking him up to be a back up and compete with starter in camp (kinda like Jackson / Ravens).

If that were the case he wouldn't enter the draft this year.

Ok, perhaps he does get picked early, what team would you say? Jaguars...after that (maybe) Dolphins, Bungles or Broncos...what other team would he start for (actually compete and beat out starter)? Giants?

Redskins, Gruden would be tempted, but you named most of them, only takes one. I can also see a trade up from someone to get him. That's just the way the league is going.

I hope someone trades up for Murray - that means Bosa is ours at #2.
