Only if a team is stupid enough to trade all the way up to #1 to get him and that's not going to happen. Anyway, he won't be picked before Haskins.

He is an exciting college player but this might be- as others have said- a mistake.

Look at the size of the football in this pick. It's a college ball and not the "duke" then just go look at some random pro qb pic.

Best of luck to him.

I can picture him fumbling 99.9 % of his snaps...Alex Smith had little hands, but this dude's hands aren't even half the size of Smith's

He didn't fumble much in college, don't see it being an issue all of a sudden. In spite of those tiny hands he can really sling the ball. If he was 4-5 inches taller he'd likely be the 1st pick overall.

I'm just joshin around about that. But those are some cute little hands.

Yeah if he were that much taller, I can really picture Kliff consider his comment from a few months ago...as it is now, I don't think Murray goes in the first round in the up coming draft. I can picture a team picking him up to be a back up and compete with starter in camp (kinda like Jackson / Ravens).

If that were the case he wouldn't enter the draft this year.

Ok, perhaps he does get picked early, what team would you say? Jaguars...after that (maybe) Dolphins, Bungles or Broncos...what other team would he start for (actually compete and beat out starter)? Giants?

Redskins, Gruden would be tempted, but you named most of them, only takes one. I can also see a trade up from someone to get him. That's just the way the league is going.

Nice call. Sit behind Alex for a bit...seemed to work alright for Mahomes (tho he was going to be a baller no matter). Maybe all their QBs are injury prone, then Murray gets his shot before the season ends......

Sounds about right, I wonder which team snags him.......
Matt Miller reporting that he spoke to two scouting directors of teams drafting in top 10 that LOVE Haskins. Also said he's gonna kill the combine and interview process.

I don't get why people don't think Haskins has a very good chance to go #1.

He has every trait you look for in a FQB and had eye popping / record setting production against good competition (excelled against Michigan AND Washington). Those were 2 tests bigger than any stage Goff/Wentz/Rosen/Allen ever had and he thrived under the spotlight. To me, he should be the #1 overall pick as qb's with all those traits with no red flags always go at the top (especially with no other qb without huge red flags to challenge him). Games played isn't ideal but when you played like him with every chance given and displayed traits that you either have or you don't then that's not significant and only a testament to his upside. He got better with every game.

Haskins belongs in the same tier as any QB last year, next year, or Goff/Wentz so it's crazy to me that people actually think he will fall to 6 and one of these QB desperate team's, with GM's that will be fired within a year without a FQB, won't trade to #1.

He would be a natural fit for the Giants. Sit year 1 and start year 2.

Because they don't have to jump anyone until 5 or 6. That's why teams trade up. To trade to 1 or 2 2 teams have to be slobbering all over themselves to land him.
Bosa to Cards, and all we'll need is for a team to fall in love with Haskins so that other teams will try to out leap each other to land this kid.. Then we'll have multiple picks and wont be forced to draft Allen..
If we start playing up the trade rumors and make teams think that we're going to deal the #2 pick for a QB, it's a win-win for us.

Either (1) a QB desperate teams leaps us and trade up to #1 to assure their guy and we get Bosa or (2) Bosa is gone and our pick is auctioned off to the highest bidder for that QB.

I fully expect Lynch to be public about our willingness to trade out of the pick.
This year like the trubisky year i would be fine with a non brinks truck trade down. IMO, there is no difference between Allen or Ferrell/Polite/Burns so why not get extra picks and still a comparable player EVEN IF we dont get top dollar.

We are not Josh Allen/QW away. We are many pieces away
Bosa or trade down

That's irrelevant. Every pick is tradeable and history has shown those picks are traded when there's a top 10 worthy qb. When there's a FQB at stake and you know they carry 1st overall value then all it takes is one team to slober enough to trade up to 1 to ensure they land him. No one knows what other teams are thinking and if he's "your guy" you have to think others see the same thing and you go get him. Just look at what the Bears gave up to move up 1 spot for Trubisky when there wasn't a qb needy team lurking around and Trubisky wasn't on Haskins level.
