No one drafts 2 top 10 qb's in a row. They'll get Rosen an offensive minded coach ala Goff.

I don't see a team trading to 1 or 2 for Haskins. There likely won't be a qb desperate team until after 5 so the need to jump into trade your whole draft for this guy isn't going to be there.

Why not? Kid is putting up crazy numbers for a top tier program. And he's not your typical recent OSU QB. Kid is actually a pocket passer who can make all the throws. If he shows teams he can master their playbook he'll be easily in talk of top 5 pick...and positional value wil push him to the top. There may be not a ton of teams needing a QB now but still plenty to make him valuable enough to trade up for.
Off the top of my head
Dolphins
Broncos
Jags
Giants
Tampa Bay
Washington
Cincinnati
And teams with old QBs though I doubt they have the ammo to move up that high
Pats
Steelers
Chargers
Saints
Hell Oakland may fall in love with him and move on from Carr.

This is also why it's super important we stay top 2 pick. Either land Bosa or take a big trade offer for Haskins.

There's also Foles, Winston, Flacco, Dalton?, Tannehill? on the market. Not all those teams will be looking for a qb. Some of them will settle.
The price tag to trade to 1 or 2 is ridiculously high and if there's no team you know will be selecting a qb you can wait it out.

Look what taking a retread QB did for Broncos.
Some of the more better teams looking to maybe bring in some fresh blood will look at FA but Chiefs and Houston proved if you have a decent team and need a QB to put it together it's worth the jump. Ditto Rams and Eagles as well.
Jags make a lot of sense. So do Giants. They have talent but their QB is an issue. Jags more than Giants. Strike while you're close enough and then build around the QB. Teams that try to patch up the position with cast offs rarely hit pay dirt.
Foles already duped one team. Winston is talented but something isn't working. If he can't play better than Fitzpatrick and the team doesn't trust him why would someone else hand him the keys to their franchise?

Look what Paxton Lynch did. You can fail either way. You also can succeed resurrecting a qb see Alex. With Keenum in Den I see them in the qb draft market. Some of the others not so much. The guys I brought up will have starting gigs next year. You can hate on em but it will happen.
There will likely be 2 or 3 teams in play for Haskins but without an imminent threat to draft him teams can hold and wait for that trade price tag to go down. They can play us v 4th pick who will settle on the cheaper trade.

Root for Haskins to have a big game in the Rose Bowl, then by April teams will be salivating for him

The last time a QB did not go in the top 10 was 2013 where EJ Manuel was the first QB taken at 16, not one decent QB in the class. Prior to that was 2000 when Pennington went 18th, the Brady draft. Most often one goes in the top 3
If anything, QBs have become even more valuable in today's passing league. Scouts, GMs and owners will forget everything they know about the sport in order to talk themselves into taking a QB if they need one. There is no other position in team sports like it, it's an anomaly.
I don't think that will suddenly change. If he declares, someone will be more than willing to trade up and roll the dice. Let's hope he declares.

I'd be surprised if he didn't, will have Tua & Herbert as competition next year, and with all the teams who found QB's last year he stands to lose a lot of dollars.

Goff did the same s**t his rookie yr. who cares if teams fear Goff or not? They're putting up like 32 pts a game with him at QB.

The price tag is as high as the team trading with them...if AZ or SF really want to move down it might not cost muiple 1sts and 2nds.
Retread QBs that are either old or mid tier doesn't really help teams that suck currently with that type of QB already on their roster (phins, cinci, NY, broncos, TB, jags etc) getting what some people think is a good young QB on a rookie contract is a big deal.
If Haskins declares and does his thing in the draft process, I wouldn't be shocked at all if a team moves up for him. Happens all the time.

Gotta add the CBA into it as well...rookie QBs under a cheap contract for like 5 yrs is gold.
If you're going into FA for a QB you got guys like Sam "Mr. Glass" Bradford making $20 million per yr lol.
Would you rather have a good rookie qb cheap to groom (and have money to get proven talent around him like the bears did) or give Joe Flacco/Foles $20+ million per yr
I think he declares

Starting with the Combine, I expect rumors to be flying about Lynch fielding calls with teams trying to trade up. I'm sure we'll start those rumors, but as long as Haskins has a solid offseason, they'll be out there.
Denver and Jax are very interesting...
Den and Elway have a tight relationship with our front office, so the comms will flow easily. Den will most likely be starting over with a new HC, who will want a young QB to pair with Keenum. New coaches always want their guy ASAP because they're given the most leeway early in their tenure. Also, Elway has been heavily criticized for missing on Paxton and Keenum. He needs to do something bold at the QB position.
Jax is having a disastrous season. They went from contender to doormat with little explanation. The brunt of the burden fell squarely on Bortle's shoulders. That defense is still nasty and can still carry the team. They just need a little something on offense. Freeing up Bortle's 20M cap space provides some relief, but they may not have the cap room to go after a big named QB, if one appears. That's just more encentive to use draft capitol and save money at the QB position. They could use picks to move up and supplement the position with a vet. A guy like Haskins that stepped right in at OSU and performed at a high level could be viewed as a positive for a team that may ask him to do the same in the pros.
TB, Wash, and Gruden could also come out of nowhere and make a bold move. I definitely expect Gruden to make a splash on draft day. He'd be my betting favorite to trade up and land Bosa.

Add Miami to the mix...
According to the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are prepared to move on from Ryan Tannehill after this season rather than pay him the $19 million he's owed over the next two years.
