Whatever you were going to say doesn't change the fact that Booger generalized an entire group. Even if you have no moral qualms about it, it's still a logical fallacy.

Booger McFarland is taking a bunch of heat for his take on Dwayne Haskins. Predictably, he is getting eaten alive by the cancel culture mob.

Eh, he generalized based on race. He deserves to be virtually smacked.

....

BUT lol, imagine being the two white people on that. Do you nod your head? Do you shake it no?

He mentioned his frustration about being black in the league and seeing so many young black players coming in unprepared. More interested than building a brand and showing off than actually putting in work. He then said it's not just black players, but in a majority black league, yeah, they stick out.

Nothing wrong with what he said.
"Often times young players, especially young black players." There was something wrong with that, in addition to being a generalization, it is factually incorrect. Plenty of young black players are sterling examples of what an NFL player should be. How many high profile black QBs paid a lot of money have done this? I can only think of two: Haskins and Russell. So many other young black QBs have done well on the field and been a great example off: Wilson, Jackson, Watson, Mahomes, etc. In fact, I can only think of three QBs that have pissed it all away like that - Russell, Manziel and Haskins.

So, this guy just wanted to virtue signal and have a pulpit to preach from. It was both factually wrong and definitely was a generalization. Or at least it started as one. I believe he did attempt to walk it back and qualify the comment later in this.

Hes speaking as an insider and not just quarterbacks. Randy Moss was right next to him nodding his head.

I'm not agreeing with what he said, but he shouldn't have to apologize for it either
