Many have said it already, but this kid is a perfect fit for this offense. Some might not want him because of his size, but I'm pretty sure KS doesn't care about that. It's going to be interesting to see if we have a choice between Isabella and Samuel, which one will Kyle take? I love both so I'm happy either way.
Yep, agreed. Kyle values guys that can run the routes the way their designed, create separation, and get yac no matter what their height or size is.
Ideally I'd love a big WR like a Dwight Clark and a speedster like Freddie - We have Goodwin, Pettis, and others for speed, but that Big WR guy like a Dwight clark is still missing from this offense. Matthews may be that guy, but I'd like a younger Matthews in this year's draft cycle to supplement or add depth to that position. I'd love a Jerry Rice guy that was both Big and Fast, but you have to pick in the top 16 to get a guy like that and we need Bosa.

Do they? He's on the roster but he has been far from dependable and now he is talking about trying out for the Olympics. We've seen what the offense often looks like without him to stretch the field. Nobody else on the roster comes close to that level of speed.

He *says* that he will try out for the Olympics, but I think he has a good enough relationship with Kyle to forego that to win a playoff or championship - if Kyle asks him too. More $$ if he wins a playoff game than going to the Olympics, I think. I really think Goodwin's production took a hit and he was disappointed because of the QB's that were throwing to him. With Jimmy back, that chemistry will be back, and he'll be back to enjoy winning games and just watching the Olympics. That's my read on it.

If we draft Isabella, I can see Goodwin being moved. Selecting guys like Isabella or Campbell kinda makes him redundant.

Goodwin has UNREAL speed, I think Isabella and these other guys have just REAL speed. Goodwin is 28 and all Kyle has to do is see if he can convince Goodwin to forego his Olympic dreams and go after his pro-bowl dreams. I think with all the speed Kyle has on offense, he can wait a year before he gets another Goodwin 2.0 in the draft. Having said that, I wouldn't mind if he got a WR with Isabella's speed, dang that is *fast.*

Isabella has the skillset to a much better overall reciever than Goodwin, while being just as fast and forcing defenses to honor his speed.

Maybe you are right, but the chemistry that Jimmy had with Goodwin, might not be there right off the bat with another draftee like Isabela. In other words, I just don't think the Olympic issue is something fatal to Goodwins career. I think Kyle can talk him out of it. I think it's just Goodwins way of saying - *feature me again* like how it was when Jimmy was playing. I think Kyle can do it. He can scheme anything and probably convince Goodwin that he'll be free and score a lot of TD's and make the Pro-Bowl team if he just sticks to football and follow what Kyle designs.

This kid is faaast. I had never heard of him, but due to UMass being on my team's (MS State) schedule in both '16 and '17, I got to see him twice. He didn't do much the first year –although he was listed as a "player to watch" in the lead-up to the game--but he put on a show in '17. He's not as fast as Goodwin (who is?), but he would toast a good deal of NFL defensive backs right now. What I love the most about him is he is not a "straight-line speed" kind of guy. He has some wiggle, plus some suddenness that will leave you gasping. The only reason that fans are not talking about him more is the program he played for received little to no national attention. If he is selected, that means that it will come at the expense of R. James or T. Taylor. I think he is more of a slot guy, but with his route-running and cutting ability, he could play some on the outside as well. If it's true that Shanahan covets separation ability more than other skills in a WR, he is very high on Isabella. My guess, though, is he doesn't leave the state of Massachusetts….

Unfortunately, I agree. I just have this gut feeling that Isabella is going to be selected at the end of the first round by GB/KC/NE. Too many speedy guys with similar size are killing defenses right now because of all the rule changes to remove most of the physicality from the game.

What's worse is NE will get him in the 3rd

This guy looks like he could be quite a weapon in this offense. Or any offense for that matter

Meaning Isabella has top end speed for a receiver. Goodwin is more of what Bill Walsh wished Renaldo Nehimiah became. It is a different level of speed and I'd love to have both on our team.
