I wouldn't be surprised if they moved down and still landed Hakeem Butler. AJ Brown is the guy I want, but if he goes before we pick I think trading back becomes a good move.

1. AJ Brown all day. If he's gone before we pick...
2. Trade down and pick Deebo Samuel. 😎👍

And I think Matthews could be a nice target for us too. Kittle is our #1 threat with our stable of stud rbs.
I would love to have Risner, and know the importance of protecting our FQB, but I think we need to upgrade at WR. They want to cut down on Goodwin's reps, and who knows how El Gato will be this year.... hopefully he will ball out. Other than that, I see a lot of question marks.. Really hoping for AJ Brown!
This team honestly goes as far as Jimmy G takes us. We must protect him. He goes down again, we are back to a top 10 pick barring some major development from Mullens. OT please at 36 that kicks inside to guard then replaces Staley when he hangs it up.
I agree that we need to protect Jimmy, and don't mind upgrading our OL at all. I just think the Niners will be looking at the later rounds to upgrade at OL.. Of course, I could be wrong...

You aren't wrong. I don't see us taking any interior lineman in the 2nd or 3rd round, unless it's a guy like Risner who can play inside and then move back outside when Staley retires.
This scheme just doesn't seem to value guards too highly and I can't see us drafting a tackle to sit on the bench for possibly 2+ years. That would be such a waste when there are players at other positions who can help us right away.

This.
Just take the damn producers! Stay away from the maybe's.
Brown all the way.
Why?
He's special, AND it's a position of (desperate) need.
What's not to like?

Take Brown. We need more big bodies at receiver to take pressure off Kittle in the redzone. The little guys will flourish if we get a real #1 out there

My best case scenario is some combination of moving both down and up to land Hakeem Butler and Adderly or Gardner-Johnson
Or maybe they stay with their picks and still luck into that... who knows. But that's the combo I want.
Metcalf and Greedy are tempting because in theory they are higher ranked players. But I never really wanted either one and was fine with them being ranked in a spot where I didn't think we would take them (the late first). If they are both there I suppose it becomes a question... But I'd still rather end up with Butler and Adderly/CGJ.
