I'd take any one of the top 3, but the more I watch The tape, not sure they're gonna be there especially if the Cards pull one.

Cards need DL/CB/OT much much much more than a WR at this pt.

Teams that could be looking at WR before us imo is raiders for sure. Possibly the Jets depending on Anderson. Outside of that I can't see it at this pt

What really worries me is someone jumping in front of us. There are a few teams behind us that are rumored to be interested in both Jeudy and Ruggs.

Cards just traded for DeAndre Hopkins and now they have:

Hopkins - $12 mil
Fitzgerald - $11 mil
Kirk
Isabella
Hakeem Butler
Keesean Johnson

I can assure you they will not draft a WR in the top 10.

But you've still got the Raiders, Jets, Panthers, Giants, Lions, etc. I know most of those teams have bigger needs, but you never know.

If the Lions don't draft Okudah then the draft was shut down.

No chance teams drafting in the top 5 are taking a WR in this class. The Raiders and Jets are the only teams I'm worried about taking a WR before us and I'm not sure I'd go Lamb if he's the one left.

Agreed. Hopkins salary could also end up a lot higher if the rumors of him demanding a new deal before the trade are true.

Yeah IF all 3 WRs are gone then there has to be al elite prospect at another position available. I mean Burrow, Tua and Herbert should most certainly be gone as well as Wirfs, Wills and at least one of Becton/Thomas. Then I'd bet that Simmons, Young and Okudah are gone too. You're at 12 right there without either DTs gone.

This. Nice post Illinois

Bingo. I think this is likely to happen honestly.
One thing might keep teams from moving up to take a receiver. Since there are so many good ones (27 have a round 3 or better rating) you may see teams moving up to take a D lineman or a DB. If they feel they have more pressing needs and can still get a good, solid receiver in the 2nd or even the 3rd round, it could work in our favor.

You think?

This draft is full of great WR talent. I would honestly think someone would move up for a top end OT, one of the top DTs, or a QB before they move up for a WR.

This throw in OT and QB. I wouldn't be shocked if the raiders take Jordan Love over WR at 12.
Jeudy is a similar receiver to Sanders was when he came out of college. Sanders ran a slightly faster 40 and his shuttle was quicker. Jeudy is a couple inches taller and is a more polished route runner at this stage of his career. If we got a young version of Sanders then we would be happy with that.

FWIW Ruggs is in essence the same size as Sanders coming out but is faster, has a better vert (also a slightly better broad jump). Ruggs has slightly shorter arms but bigger hands than ES.

Perhaps Denver, they will be looking for a WR to play opposite Sutton, and IMO would probably be targeting Jeudy or Ruggs in round 1.

Think about it this way.

The Cardinals could trade down, acquire more picks, grab the OT they want, and block us from picking one of the top 3 WRs.

I'd say that's a win for them.

The meltdown in here if the 49ers use their 1st pick on an OL or DB, when everyone and their mother is expecting WR is going to be glorious.

There is a risk involved in it for them. Cleveland and the Jets remain as teams needing a LT and Tampa is another depending on how far back they would go (like if Denver moved to 8). So depends on how they feel about the top 4 OT's.

Also if the Giants take someone like Simmons, the Cards could have their choice of OT instead of settling for who's left.

But I am sure the Cards will look at such scenarios and it is something slightly worrisome for us.
