Jerry Jeudy, WR Alabama

People saying no way when it comes to the draft tend to end up looking silly often.

I'm not guaranteeing Jeudy will be there because there was a reason people who had him as the #1 guy in this class before the year started but fact is he's a WR.

Everyone thought Michael Crabtree would be the #1 WR drafted and a top 5 pick. How did that go for him?

Things chage. Just takes a few teams to think they'd rather address another position and take advantage of the depth in this WR class or to prefer Ruggs or Lamb over him and suddenly he's there at 13.
I don't see him falling to #13
I think the team WILL HAVE TO TRADE UP now. Robby Anderson went to the Panthers. Now the Jets and Raiders are likely to snipe the 49ers choices. Perhaps the 49ers should take a hard look at Citizen510's suggested trade with the Browns. Give #13 and #31 for the Browns' #10 and #41

These players get hyped up so much that it's almost impossible to live up to it.

"Jeudy is Julio Jones. You go into a lab and clone Odell, DeAndre Hopkins, and Julio Jones, and you get Jerry Jeudy. If the San Francisco 49ers end up with him like he's projected in Mel's mock draft, the NFC is in trouble, because the 49ers will be a problem. Good luck."

Fair enough. I sure hope I'm wrong.

thats an absurd and unfair comparison. Dude is good, but if he really is a mix of all of them he would be a top 5 lock.

Lol, I wonder if any GM shares that opinion. If so, he's going top 3.

To be fair Jeudy was considered my many as the top player in this draft heading into this season. Obviously Burrow and other QBs came into the picture, Chase Young put on a show and so did a few others.

Jeudy will likely be the first WR drafted still cuz his route running is pristine but GMs overthink things sometime. Someone could fall in love with Lamb'a physical play and prefer his size thinking he can be coached up with his route running or prefer Ruggs' speed. We'll see what happens.

IMO both Bama guys would be awesome for Kyle. We'll see if other teams cooperate and get us one of them.

He's more like Calvin Ridley than any of those guys. Jones and Hopkins are much bigger than him. The 4.53 shuttle isn't representative of Jeudy's athleticism (that's what is tanking his SPARQ score), but Jeudy still doesn't have anywhere near the athleticism of Odell Beckham Jr. or Julio Jones.

Jones is 6'3 220, ran a 4.39, broad jumped 135" and ran the 3 cone in 6.66 second which is absurd for a guy that size. I have no idea why he's a comparison for Jeudy other than they both went to Alabama. Odell Beckham Jr. is also exceptionally explosive/quick and ran a 6.69 second 3 cone and 3.94 second shuttle. They are more similar in size at least (6'1 193 vs. 5'11 198 with 5/8" longer arms), but at best, Jeudy is a poor man's Beckham Jr.

CeeDee Lamb is more similar to Hopkins but will have to work on route running. Lamb isn't quite as big as Hopkins (198 vs. 214) with shorter arms and smaller hands.
Yea, I don't understand those comps at all. As for the Jets, signing or losing a talent like Roby Anderson has nothing to do with whether or not they take a WR at 11

Thats because its like every prospect is going in the top 13.
I just hope we pick the right one.

Not sure who that is.

He's one of the most for sure WRs to come out in a while. He might not have the eye popping physicals, but his route running is something else. He's gonna be really special in the NFL.
Well then.
