"Jeudy is Julio Jones. You go into a lab and clone Odell, DeAndre Hopkins, and Julio Jones, and you get Jerry Jeudy. If the San Francisco 49ers end up with him like he's projected in Mel's mock draft, the NFC is in trouble, because the 49ers will be a problem. Good luck."

Lol, I wonder if any GM shares that opinion. If so, he's going top 3.

He's one of the most for sure WRs to come out in a while. He might not have the eye popping physicals, but his route running is something else. He's gonna be really special in the NFL.

It's kind of funny cuz while I prefer Ruggs for us(imo his speed brings this offense to another level) but Jeudy is clearly a stud and would be terrific with Kyle as well but I'm very confused why he went from what most people had as the #1 player, let alone WR in this draft early last season to potentially being the 3rd WR in people's rankings(Draft Network has him being Lamb and Ruggs)

Usually the things that drop people are injuries, poor seasons. I understand Joe Burrow and Chase Young coming into the picture - elite playmaking/stats and positional importance easy to see why they're 1/2.

He had a poor combine. 4.53 shuttle is disgustingly bad. I mean Solomon Thomas had a 4.28 at 275 lbs lol.

His poor combine doesn't show on film.

I guess...but i feel like people had him dropping even before the combine. I want to think people have learned not to let the combine override tape with guys like Jerry Rice, Anquan Boldin, etc making a mockery of the 40 yard dash but I hope 12 GMs take it very seriously.

If we can't get Ruggs then Jeudy is definitely the guy.

Yeah, his combine was pretty underwhelming, but his tape shows a very sudden and smooth athlete.

Sometimes s**t happens before the combine. Guys don't sleep the night prior, ate something bad, personal issues, etc.

I've found the shuttle times to be awfully unreliable sometimes. Can point to numerous successful WRs who did not have good shuttle times. Then again, you can do that with the 40 and three-cone too, lol.
I don't think we can judge his athleticism based off of one bad day, albeit quite an important day lol. He looks every bit of a borderline elite athlete on tape. I think he dropped for two reasons.

1. Prospect fatigue. Remember that we are reading media opinions and not NFL opinions.

2. Questions about hands and physicality. His toughness with the ball in his hands is unquestioned. His fearlessness with the ball is a little bit more up for debate, and he's had some drops.

Mainly, I attribute most of any drop in favor to reason 1.

What really worries me is someone jumping in front of us. There are a few teams behind us that are rumored to be interested in both Jeudy and Ruggs.

You think?

This draft is full of great WR talent. I would honestly think someone would move up for a top end OT, one of the top DTs, or a QB before they move up for a WR.

Perhaps Denver, they will be looking for a WR to play opposite Sutton, and IMO would probably be targeting Jeudy or Ruggs in round 1.

Think about it this way.

The Cardinals could trade down, acquire more picks, grab the OT they want, and block us from picking one of the top 3 WRs.

I'd say that's a win for them.

But if you are Denver, why trade up in a receiver rich draft?

they need help at LBer (you know Vic loves his LBers). They don't have another outside CB to go with Bouye (who was awful in Jax last yr).

But someone like Ruggs is also a big need, lock has a cannon arm and they don't have speed on the outside.

The fact that this is a deep WR class might help SF get one of the top 3 WRs. Then again maybe SF things the same and moves back as well.
Use much of the combine #'s to solidify what you saw in games. The problem people run into is trying to moreso use them for disqualification. No no no.

You have to go back to the college games, review the tape, and see if you can understand why some #s were poor, and it may have been a facet you overlooked.

If everything from the tape looks fine and it's nothing too drastic,...carry on.

Jeudy already burning NFL DB's.....well at least that's what was said in the comments. The last match up was against Landon Collins.

I completely agree with this. I don't like watching WR's though, as 70% of what they do is usually off camera.

I've been trying to persevere watching Ruggs and Juedy side by side.

I like both of their releases, Juedy see ms to do more work before going out of shot (that could just be the routes he's running) but he looks smooth as hell.

If Kyle had a Madden create a player function for a WR he might look exactly like Juedy.

Ruggs is more exciting but Juedy looks like the better fit. Would be thrilled with either and can't choose at the moment.

Sudden and smooth..two very different things.... It really is weird with Jeudy. He can look like two different players when he was outside versus the slot.

When you watch the tape, you get a more graceful smooth player when he is at SE. His ins, his posts, his outs, his comebacks, crosses have very little wasted motion.

or

Put him in the slot...and you a some sort of 2020 version of Gale Sayers...stop and go and stop looking for angles. It looks a hell of a lot like a basketball player working on his pivot foot.

I wonder how much of that is his brain going into over drive in traffic, He does have a really good plant and go off of his left foot. Like a RB he gets small and goes up field suddenly.

Ill try and go find the Video of him with his slot snaps only and his outside snaps only, it is odd.

That is my only knock on JJ, how much time he spent in the slot.
So I was looking at the odds for which team to take Jeudy and the niners were +1500, in there eyes they have him definitely going before the niners have a chance to take him
