Jerry Jeudy, WR Alabama

Both of those WRs excel in physical/contact situations. Landry is one of the toughest SOBs. I remember him being comped to Anquan Boldin when he came out.

OBJ's play speaks for itself. Dude is one of the freakiest contested catchers the NFL has ever seen with elite competitiveness and no fear.

Landry was a physical monster that would wreck press coverage. Jeudy is far more of a finesse receiver.

Problem with nitpicking, IMO, is that it gets blown way out of proportion. I'd start putting more stock into it if it's something that CAN'T be coached up.

I agree. I think people are going to overreact to this because of Pettis but I think Dante's issue isn't fear of contact either. It's something else and I hope he shakes it off..

I don't know much about Jeudy as a person so unless he's a happy go lucky guy like Dante who hasn't had to fight for anything in life then I may worry.

I'd still prefer Ruggs mostly due to what I think his speed brings to the offense but I'd love Jeudy or Lamb in this offense as well.

I really think Pettis is the type of guy who skated by on sheer talent alone in high school and college. He's finding out that the NFL is a mans game. You gotta want it! If you are not willing to train and be coachable, you will not succeed in the NFL. I don't think Pettis wants it enough.
Please don't compare an over-drafted dad-bod scrub like Pettis to Jeudy. They're not even remotely close to the same player, both physically and mentally.

I'm not sure where this came from. There isn't a lot of film on him making contested catches but he didn't have to make those. He was usually wide open because of his routes and speed. Yes I know he isn't as fast as Ruggs but how many receivers have the Niners had in their history that run 4.45 and are at least 6 feet tall and run great routes. Not sure about TO but I'm guessing he's the only one.

I feel like Pettis was supposed to be a poor man's Jeudy that didnt pay off. And now Shannahan has a shot at the genuine article.

Welker and the Miles Austin should be able to teach any of the top 3 WR how to beat physical CBs
I really like Jeudy, but honestly I think he's gone before the 13th pick, and i wouldn't be man bc I feel we haven't at all seen the best of Ruggs, and I think Lamb will also be a star in this league, does everything real good as of now and will only get better at all

I'm starting to think the same thing. I know I'd be happy with Ruggs and last night I got caught up with Lamb highlights. I'd be happy with any of these guys. What can you say about Ruggs? Imagine the bubble screens in Kyle's offense!!!!!!! Lamb? He can add 15 lbs of muscle and be an absolute monster.

We are in a good spot...

Absolutely agree !
I see many mocks having Jeudy there at 13 also Derrick Brown. I'd take Brown and keep that D-Line moving forward. I have enough faith in Shanahan that he will find a receiver at 31 or in a trade down.

Haha....my thoughts exactly!!!!!!!!!! Brown would be amazing but I also like the big 3 receivers. I'm like my wife staring at 4 different pairs of shoes not knowing which to buy!!!

I am afraid Jeudy does't make it to 13. He is the prize and I guarantee he is Shanny's wet dream. He is what Shanny wanted Pettis to be.

Im pretty sure Pettis just doesn't like football very much. Adrian Colbert had the same problem; he was more focused with people watching him play video games on stream then to go and fight for his job on the football field. I'm hoping Pettis can still develop, cus he can be great next to deebo and Ruggs
