Jerry Jeudy, WR Alabama

I hate when people start throwing around HOF comparisons

Guy is like Dan Marino

Guy is like Dion Sanders

Guy is like Jerry Rice

But damn.....

JJ really does look a little like Rice. No he is not Jerry Rice....but yeah...there is real similarities. If some one photo shopped him in to red and gold and put the number 80 on him...it would probably take us a few mins to catch on that it was not actually Jerry Rice. Very similar style.

The hot talking point on JJ has been elite "rout runner". That really seems to be code for "guy runs and changes direction with balance". I think the thing 49er fans should really lock onto is not that he is physically capable of running any rout in the tree....its that his "high light reel" shows him scoring on 3 or 4 slants...and on those slants he generated REMARKABLE separation.

I am kinda of tired of watching 49er WRs constantly have to make herculean catches in tight coverage, JJ really is a guy that seems to be able to make SHORT yardage separation....even in the red zone.

This guy does not look like a product of the system, or to have really benefited from the stacked team he was on. He seems to be a guy that thrives in just about every situation. It really makes me want to turn on my old Rivals account to see if they have all the throws to him on a supercut.

One last thing to add, for anyone that does watch his highlight reels....watch how fast he holsters the ball. VERY little ball movement after the catch. Some times you even miss the catch on the tape, he is so fast and fluid with his...for lack of a better term, catch mechanics. This absolutely does not look like a guy who is going to bobble balls, or lead to unforced turnovers due to carelessness. Very little body catching, it appears he has top notch hand-eye coordination.

I remember the Rice draft a little and he was like the third WR after Toon and Eddie Brown right? Walsh wants him so bad that he trade up and pick him before the Cowboys did. I wouldn't be surprise if Shany is just in love with him( including the other 2) and just go up and trade Up a little for him.
Talk to me like im 5... what are this guys comps and why is he so good.
Best receiver in the draft imo. I think he'll go in the top 10 though unfortunately.

He's an elite level route-runner. Elite level quickness. His releases are top end off the LOS. Good YAC

He's a pretty complete WR. If there's a negative he's had a case of the drops this yr and he's not an amazing congested catch WR.

I think a good comp is another bama guy amari Cooper or a little faster Davante Adams

OBJ comp. Route running is the best I've ever seen for a prospect entering the draft

I think OBJ is more explosive than Jerry...not that Jerry isn't but OBJ is a elite twitchy athlete.

I think Jerry is very much elite twitcy which is a part of the reason he breaks ankles with his routes. As predraft prospects, OBJ wasn't on the level of Jeudy in route running imo. But yeah I get it, Jerry wasn't/isn't the overall athlete that OBJ was
So now that Oakland signed Agholor, what's the probability they go after Jeudy?

I think they'll go receiver or QB with their #12 pick. I know a couple Raiders fans and they both want Jeudy....but I wouldn't put it past Gruden/Mayock to go get a QB. I'm not sold that they're believers in Carr.

Go look at at OBJ's combine numbers compared to Jerry's

I think Jerry is a little better route-runner than OBJ coming out of college, agree there. OBJ is a athletic freak though. His route-running is pretty darn good now (shows he actually works unlike what people say)

Davante Adams isn't a twitched up dude, but he puts people on their asses with footwork and route-running. Similar to Jerry.

I would love Jerry/Ruggs or a trade for OBJ. It's hard to look at Lamb because of the system he was in. Just a ton of free releases & in that air raid system. I'm gonna have a ton of free team to watch all these dudes now lol

Honestly think they'd go Ruggs over Jeudy. I'll take either. Kinda like Ruggs more

Honestly can't lose with Ruggs or Jeudy!! BUT there is a small chance both could be gone with Jets at 11 and Raiders at 12. I don't think three WR's have ever been drafted in a row before in the 1st round let alone top 15. I'm hoping Jets go D-line and Raiders go CB.
I feel the exact same way. The more I watch, the more I love this kid.

The more I look at the Draft the better I see the 49ers chances of looking at a board with Jeudy's name on it when they go to make their selection with the 13th pick. I believe the Raiders will pick a QB or select Ruggs...They mighy even go CB
