I don't know what they wanted to do, I do not follow KC.

They also have a pick in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rd

You're assuming they had all those players ranked equally with Aiyuk.

If the light turns on for Pettis,....oh boy!!

A vet came in,...showed him how to play,...and now he gets to compete with a rook!!

If that doesn't light a fire under your arse,...nothing does.

I would rather keep Pettis and Witherspoon and give them more chances than a 4th and 5th round player.

Even Dontae Johnson and Jason Verrett are more likely to help this year than late picks would.

Yep, not like Fred Warner, Dre Greenlaw, and kittle contribute to this team

Warner was the 70th pick, we don't pick until like 156 now

Dude your missing the pt. Those 1st rd picks (at least one of them) should have been to move down and actually acquire more picks.

1) As has been said COUNTLESS times,...you cant require teams like Miami to just give up their (relatively high) draft picks and take our #13 pick (or #31st pick, see KC @ #32) just for the hell of it.

They have to AGREE. We had Tampa Bay in a tight spot,...WE were taking that last of the BIG-4 Olinemen,...if someone else out there wasn't trying to. That's how we got the 4th to begin with,...not begging teams to take our pick.

We moved up for Aiyuk because we wanted him,...not because Minnesota begged like hell for us to take their pick. This is the logical order of how things play out.

2) If we had taken Jeudy,...please admit you'd be smiling from ear to ear right now and not talking about all these make-believe scenarios we could've done.

Not a significant drop between tier 1 and Aiyuk either.
Hell yeah!!!

You're the one that was going off about trading down for months lol

and i have said i didnt love trading up. I also am the one that didnt want to trade down from 31. What i wanted was more day 2 picks. We didn't trade any day two picks. So im not terribly mad at te trade. i just dont love the trade up.

But it was a good point that we only lost one pick we came in with.

We still have a chance to get both those picks back between coleman/breida/goodwin.

But boy you sure do seem VERY salty right now.

This. I mean I'd have preferred to keep the 4th round pick and I wanted Lamb badly at 14 but this trade up didn't surprise me. Lynch pretty much covered this when he said they felt they had a limited number of roster spots available so having limited draft capital wasn't necessarily a bad thing. They are going for guys that they feel not only can make the team but give meaningful snaps this season.

Kyle's reaction showed what they thought about Aiyuk and I think they were fearful Green Bay was gonna take him.

Why would the Niners keep picks and never end up with Aiyuk. There is zero chance he made it to 31. And he is so clearly among the very best WRs in this entire class.

Flip on the tape.

Consistently.
I love the pick. Aiyuk is the prototype for this offense and someone that grew on me more and more as I watched more tape.

You seriously asking this,..given the UFA finds we've had in the past with Kyle? Guys havent even been able to show their stuff post-college to move up. It's going to be a Black Friday in the UFA department this year more than ever.

Doesn't mean we'll get 3 Pro Bowlers out of it,...but recognize the potential we have this year with organization,...unlike any other year.
