Will catch in traffic, physical enough and can take it to the house. If he's there on a trade down from 13 or at own 31. Love how this draft is playing out for us.

Not a significant drop between tier 1 and Aiyuk either.

i think i like him as much as if not more than Jeudy and Lamb. I would not be mad at all if we trade down at 13 and pass on the big 3 and select this guy. Been seeing new mocks with him going mid to late 20's lately. compared to mid 2nds earlier in the process.

Ayiuk plus extra day two pick(s) would be better than any one WR we'd get at 13 in my opinion
Shany agrees with you.

Perhaps the most complete WR in the draft.

Watching his highlights and he looks faster than 4.5. I think I read that he had a core muscle injury. I wonder if that dropped his time? His very and broad jump scream explosive, so maybe those are still lower than his true potential because of a core muscle.

He's absolutely faster than 4.5.

Didn't Jerry Rice run a slower 40 than that?

Type of player to still run 4.5 with pads on. I bet Ruggs is 4.4- 4.5 with gear on.

I think he's gone before #31. There's no reason for him to fall beyond Pick 24 or 25. I'd love to see him there at #31 but I think he's worked himself into a Top 6 WR in this draft class and there will be a mega run that starts in the early 20s that will quickly yank guys off the board.

holy s**t phoenix! lol

Unreal. Dunno I've seen such a specific accurate prediction. Have a beer, lad.

Aiyuk was injured when he ran his forty at the combine. When healthy he's a 4.45 guy.

Him running 4.5 with no pads and running the same speed with pads on.

I was low on Aiyuk early in the process as I tend to bias against guys that didn't produce anything at the college level until their Senior Year but the more I watch the more I'm convinced he's Kyle's target if they don't go WR at 13. Skill set wise he might be the most or atleast one of the 2 most complete receivers in this draft with plus athleticism, plus route running/separation, plus hands, and plus blocking. To me this draft is Lamb / Juedy as 1a/b and then Ruggs / Aiyuk who are pretty close IMO. I didn't include Jefferson as I don't see the plus athleticism or the type of filthy separation ability Kyle has coveted.

I hate to say it but I don't see Kyle gravitating to some of the other late 1st/2nd rd guys outside of maybe KJ Hamler (his new speedster) as too many of them seem like no / low separation guys with a jump ball style which Kyle has historically avoided like the plague his entire coaching career.

Hell yeahhhhhhhh - called it the night before the draft. The more I watched the more obvious it became he's weirdly the most well rounded wr in the draft with no glaring weakness and is elite at all traits Kyle loves. Checks all the boxes with his ability to separate, quickness / speed, toughness over the middle, YAC, and ability to block. If he had Tua or Burrow at qb and was at a huge program he may have been the first wr off the board.

But if Aiyuk is Kyle's guy then I'd be super excited to have him.

Just like IF Ruggs is Kyle's guy then the trade down at 13 and a WR at 31 folks should be excited to have Ruggs.

I want whoever Kyle wants most.

And again, by not selecting WR at 13 we have to HOPE the next tier guy we want is there at 31. And if he's not we are ****ed. Huge risk and only way to avoid it is to use the trade down from 13 pick to 20-22 to draft whatever WR that is from the next tier. Cannot afford to wait until 31.

Pretty much described today to a tee - 4 days before the draft

You're assuming they had all those players ranked equally with Aiyuk.
Well, the top tier WRs are Jeudy, Lamb, and Ruggs. The you have the 2nd Tier, which is Higgins, Pittman, et al. Since Aiyuk is not in the top tier, then he must be with the next lower tier, so yes, he is ranked within that tier and with those players.
The only reason I can think that ShanaLynch will give up an extra pick for Aiyuk is that he is a better punt and kick returner then any of those other receivers in the second Tier. Heck, he might be a better returner then the top 3 WRs. Our return game has been nothing to shout about. SO, if he could boost our return game and at the same time bolster the WR, then its worth giving up the 1st, 4th round, and 5th round pick for him. You can see Tee Higgins and Mims are still on the board and if we had stand pat and kept our 4th pick and 5th pick, we could have picked one of them. From the 23rd pick on to the end of the first round, we were the only team that picked WR. No one else was interested in that position, which is to say likely Aiyuk would have been there at 31st.

1) As has been said COUNTLESS times,...you cant require teams like Miami to just give up their (relatively high) draft picks and take our #13 pick (or #31st pick, see KC @ #32) just for the hell of it.

They have to AGREE. We had Tampa Bay in a tight spot,...WE were taking that last of the BIG-4 Olinemen,...if someone else out there wasn't trying to. That's how we got the 4th to begin with,...not begging teams to take our pick.

We moved up for Aiyuk because we wanted him,...not because Minnesota begged like hell for us to take their pick. This is the logical order of how things play out.

2) If we had taken Jeudy,...please admit you'd be smiling from ear to ear right now and not talking about all these make-believe scenarios we could've done.

I was fine with what they did at 13, would I have preferred Lamb, sure. Do I find it a bit monotonous to take 5 1st rd DL in 6 yrs? Yes. Kinlaw has a chance to be very very good and they added some value by moving down. All good there.

BUT I got everyone telling me for months how deep this draft was at WR, so what does a team with zero day 2 picks do? Move up for a WR that IMO is on the same page as Robert woods . They removed any real possibility of gaining any meaningful capital and actually gave up anything they gained in the Kinlaw move down.

I don't give a f**k what KC did at 32. They have day 2 picks. They could have been asked for more then any team was willing to move and apparently they didn't want to move down.

Is what it is now, I don't have to agree with every move they make. I'm gonna route for whomever they make a Niner I hope this kid kills it now.
