Brandon Aiyuk | ASU WR | 6-0, 203, 4.45

While I'm not a fan of how it went down, I don't dislike him. If kyle loves him, great let's get to work.

Not finding a way to get any day 2 picks is a real bummer though.

I'm not that bummed about it. This is a Super Bowl team that doesn't need a ton of picks to retool. I'm hoping that we can fill the few needs we have with impact players, and have faith that Kyle and John have a better understanding of where they are taking this team. Kyle is obviously in love with Aiyuk, otherwise they'd have never traded up. Been wanting a game changer at WR since TO bailed, and if that is Aiyuk, it was worth it. Go Niners!

I think they'll work hard to trade Ford, Breida, Kwon and Goodwin. Some how they'll trade these guys and come away with some late picks.

This is surprising to me. I honestly thought Ruggs would be his top WR.

I like Aiyuk though. I think they could still get Quez Watkins later to add a deep threat, but I'm liking the WR room a lot more.

I hate not having a day two pick. I'll still watch the draft, but it takes a lot out of it. I'm hoping to see some player trades today.

I dont care what rounds they have picks in. I want them to get the players they want to make the team better. Not entertain me at home on a Friday lol

You never know what coach is thinking, especially when you have just a sliver of insight into whats really going on

I agree, but I selfishly I wish we had more picks today

In their interview last they said Kinlaw was top on their board, and Aiyuk was 3rd on their list at pick 13. They mentioned he was one of their foundational players. I'm happy with how last night went knowing they rated those guys so highly

I remember when Dante Pettis was his favorite WR
Solid pick...I like it

I see no reason to trade Ford. Only guy worth anything is Kwon and he's got a big contract and a injury history.

Yeah I don't hate Aiyuk...I don't think he was close to the top WR in this draft class. I don't think he was the 25th best player in this draft (and having to get up 2 picks on top of it).

subpar day 1 IMO. whatever at this pt.

I think we can chalk Pettis up as a "learning experience" for Shanahan and Lynch. Pettis picks lead to picks like Deebo, as coaches and GMs don't just look at skills, but for skilled "men." No offense to Pettis...he is what he is. Just not a baller. You've got to be all in to play in the league.

You're assuming they had all those players ranked equally with Aiyuk.

this

All those wr's can't separate. Aiyuk was the last remaining rd 1 guy that thrives getting separation and checked all the major boxes (tough, good hands, YAC, smart, great routes, great athlete) - I called the night before that he and not Ruggs was our likely wr3 for that reason. The players above "highlights" have defenders draped on them every catch for a reason - they are strictly jump ball types at the next level.
